What Books Are You Reading?

Psalms and Revelations----when it comes to fiction I am reading- Lord of the Rings--I am still on the fellowship of the rings--I read it back in the 70s but have forgotten a lot.-----The movie storyline in places was a little different.

 

I just picked up ----Morning and Evening ------a devotional bt Charles H. Spurgeon-------

 

Has anybody read Hank Hannigraph's book "The Last Prophet"? I just started. It is fiction like LeHay's except he is Preterest (tribulation was considered as the destruction of the Israeli nation in AD70.

The book is set in the first century and although I don't agree with the premise, I realize that it is fiction and the stories of first century people make them come to life. Whether or not all of this is from actual research or just good guesses based on some historical knowledge is not known. But the reading is enjoyable.

 

I just started the fourth book in the "Left Behind" Series.

--Reading C.S. Lewis' Narnia series with my grandsons. This is my favorite "read" right now.

--Just finished Michael Crichton's "State of Fear".

--AND, I'm now technically "in between" REAL books, coz I'm currently slogging my way through the Baptist Board archives and 2005 posts on the Calvinism/Arminianism debate. This is a SERIOUS and BUSY reading/study that I've gotten myself into! I'm following every weblink referenced in the posts, etc. This "book" could take the rest of the year to finish!

I just bought Reagan's Revolution by Craig Shirley. Has anyone read it? It sounds pretty good, tells the story of how Reagan's loss prepared him for and perhaps catapulted him to the 1980 Republican nomination and Presidency. How about The Age of Reagan, which I also just got?

 

I'm currently reading Future Grace by John Piper. I just got The Battle That Stopped Rome and Auschwitz.

 

Jesus and the Victory of God by N.T. Wright.

 

Is Michael Crichton's book any good? I have been tempted to buy it. Or should I just wait for the paperback?

 

Im reading "Our Sufficiency in Christ" By Johnny Mac. Just got done reading "Gods man of influence" By Jim George. Great book !
