Have you written and published. . .

Not a book or a song. I had a poem published once and I used to write a local newspaper column.

I started a book, but haven't completed it.

 

I have done many songs, some choral, instrumental, children's, and solo. Not all are published, but they are copyrighted. One was a keyboard ensemble arrangement of "He Is Risen" that I got to direct at a seminary concert and at Ridgecrest Music Week. Another is a children's Christmas musical (done out of necessity) that we did twice here and another church will be doing next Christmas.
When my kids are a little older, I plan to do much more of it. Thats my passion!

As for other writing, I have been published in a Lifeway magazine (Senior Musician). I have started a book about life as a minister's family, but I have a feeling I have a lot more wisdom that has yet to come for that book!

 

My mother writes sociology textbooks used in a lot of university classes.

Does that count?

For the last 20 years I've been aquiring prophetic knowledge in anticipation of publishing it.

So far God has not provided an organization or church to support me or the revealing of this end time message to the Church. Scholars, theologins and pastors either reject it or believe and fearfully abandon me.

The pastor of a GARBC church I'm a member of believes in my calling and my understanding of the prophetic Word but lacks the courage to commit himself. I've requested he invite Zola Levitt as special speaker when he comes to California in August. Hopefully positive results will come about from this meeting.

I've had a few articles published. I'm "working" on a book, but I'm not sure when it will be finished. It's a long term goal. One day, I'll see my name on the cover of my very own book.

Seriously thought, I have had a number of freelance articles published in various newspapers and trade publications.

 

Only magazine articles so far. Possibly one coming out as a feature article in "Military History" in the October 2005 issue but it isn't finalized yet so it might be later.

I have a couple of historical fiction books I've worked on from time to time. Mountains of notes for more. Not enough motivation to finish any of them.
But, now that the kids are older and moving out, it is becoming a higher priority.

 

Just confirmed last night - Summer 2005 "Primitive Archer" magazine - an historical article on Skanderbeg's Summer-Autumn 1448 campaign.

I write short Chirstiuan Stories and Poems. Pastors among others, have asked if they could use my Poems and short Stories to teach their congregation. That is a humbling blessing.

 

I am not a published author...yet. I had a manuscript many years ago that was to be published, but I pulled it from publishing and returned the check to the publishers along with the contract and a letter from my attorney.

I am currently working on several manuscripts and projects to be published in the near future.

I also compose music in many different genre's and write lyrics.

 

I had an article that Moody Monthly was going to publish, but the editor that liked it was killed in an accident and the new editor didn't like it so it wasn't.

Do near misses count

 

Yes, but it was something I "ghost edited" with a family member.

 

2 books, a history of Christian art and an introduction into the history of art in general.
I guess a doctoral thesis also counts. Even if most of the printrun ends up lying in a closet somewhere. Two of those.
Numerous articles as well.
All of it in Dutch (allthough my history of Christian art got translated into Italian*).

*And I got turned into a happily married Roman Catholic father of 6 on the backcover of the Italian edition.

 

That's what happens when you are a journalist.
