Darwin's Radio by Greg Bear (what better place for evolution than a science fiction novel?) and The Grace and Truth Paradox by Randy Alcorn.

I like SF too. I'm currently reading Night Train to Rigel, by Timothy Zahn, a great author.

I've been looking for this one for quite a while.

I finally found it for my price (3.99 pounds) after searching for months.

I couldn't wait and opened it before Christmas.

I just started reading a very little (31pgs) booklet called "Evangelistic Calvinism: Why The Doctrines of Grace Are Good News" by John Benton. Very good booklet.

==Finished that booklet, very well written. I would suggest anyone interested in that subject get that booklet. I am starting a book, from the USS North Carolina Battleship, on Camp Davis (a WWII army base in NC). It looks very good. I am also starting a biography on John Calvin written by Robert Reymond (of Knox Seminary).

That biography by Robert Reymond, though based on lectures he delivered, is quite good---I read it this past year.

I read that a couple years ago, and found it quite interesting. Tell me what you think when you are finished.

I will do that. I have a deacon in my church that has read it twice now in the last year and has been after me to read it. He loved it and said it completely changed how he viewed heaven and even life. I am about 9 chapters into it so far and found it quite interesting. I am not sure I am in complete agreement yet, but he mades some solid arguements.

I read the condensed version of Heaven, I think it was called 40 Days of Heaven or something like that. It was good. I've liked most of the Randy Alcorn stuff I've read. One of my favorite books is Edge of Eternity.

    John's Story: A Novel

Just starting reading "John's Story: A Novel" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. I heard about it the other day and thought it looked interesting so I placed an order on Amazon. So far, the book is pretty good. It is an historical novel about the last years of the life of John the Apostle. The book also contains the Gospel of John, the Epistles of John, and the entire book of Revelation. This book is part of a series called "The Jesus Chronicles", the other book in the series is called "Mark's Story". If this book continues to be good, I will certainly get hold of that one as well.

I am somewhat surprised by this book since I did not think the writing of "Left Behind" was all that good. Don't get me wrong, this is no John Grisham novel, but it is good (so far).
