Actually I am re-reading this book. It's a good Christian fantasy novel.

I just picked up, "When God Doesn't Make Sense" by James Dobson. I am not a huge Dobson fan but I feel like God had him write this book just for me. It is amazing.

    Current Reading

To all who have an interest:

    I just this week finished:

    1. A friend's dissertation on John Calvin's Theology of Preaching from SBTS.

    2. Collin Hansen's Young, Restless, and Reformed.

    3. Brian Mc Laren's A Generous Orthodoxy. He is the guru or seminal thinker of the Emerging Church Movement. Quit interesting!

    "That is all!"

    The Tailor King

The Tailor King This book is a history of John of Leiden, the fanatical leader of Christians in Münster, Germany.

    From Wikipedia:
Raised a bastard and dogged by poverty, young John became a charismatic leader who was widely revered by his followers. According to his own testimony, he went to the German city of Münster, arriving in 1533, because he had heard there were inspired preachers there. He sent for Jan Matthys, who had baptized him, to come. After his arrival Matthys - recognized as a prophet - became the principal leader in the city. Following a failed military attempt on Easter Sunday 1534, in which Matthys died, John of Leiden became King of Münster until its fall in June of 1535. He set up a theocracy in Münster and led a communalistic and polygamous state. Some sources report that John of Leiden took sixteen wives. He publicly beheaded one of his wives after she rebelled against his authority., Germany.

The Satisfaction of Christ by A.W. Pink.
The atonement of Christ is the most important subject that can engage our minds. We do not believe a clearer, more lucid, helpful and scriptural setting forth of this glorious theme can be found anywhere. We are confident this work will prove a great benefit and blessing to every serious and careful reader.

    God's Way, Not Ours by D.Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
This collection of expositions provides a summary of Isaiah's entire message and of God's way of salvation. The author lays out the root cause of human trouble and need, the false ways people try to escape trouble or meet needs, and God's only way of real deliverance.

A Heart For God by Sinclair Ferguson.
... is written out of the conviction that the world's greatest need, and the contemporary church's greatest lack is the knowledge of God. In a popular, readable style it draws us to an awareness of the character of God and the nature of his relationship to his people.

How To Read Genesis by Tremper Longman 111.
... provides a welcome guide to reading and studying, understanding and savoring this panorama of beginnings -- of both the world and of Israel. And imporantly for Christian readers, we gain insight into how Genesis points to Christ and can be read in light of the gospel.

I just started "Satan's New World Order" - The author is James Melton and it is about How world leaders are building the kingdom of antichrist. I have read some very excellent books as I have a huge Christian library in my home. I have all Dr. Peter S. Ruckman's commentaries, most of Chuck Missler's commentaries, James Melton's, a lot of Tim Lahaye, Jerry Jenkins, Hal Lindsay, and John Hagee and Joyce Meyer. My favorites are the "Sure Word of Prophecy" by Dr. Ruckman and "Israel - Deadly Piece of Dirt" by him also. I suspect this one "Satan's New World Order" will be a fabulous read also.
