I say to all who question Daisys
personal relationship with God..guess what!
its personal with some people and they do not
follow the same culture of do do this and don't
don't this...believe it or not their are still
Christians who do spiritual works very privately
because of a deep belief of treasure stored in
heaven but those people do not get accolades or
big book deals or atta boys and atta girls which
may mean that treasure gets as high as the floor
in Gods view of things.

I do believe their are Christians who deem their
personal relationship with Jesus as private, personal, unique, and special and may not
be willing to share that intimacy they have
with Him with the whole world but are willing to
share the after glow of private works with people
they trust..and innocents ,those people
are still part of the body of Jesus Christ.imho

I hope this ends this and we can get back to
the topic.

sincerely
Aslanspal

I believe a saved person should not be ashamed to proclaim it. I also believe it is a fair question being asked of Daisy (I have questioned her salvation numerous times), moreover, I find it disturbing that she didn't answer.

I accepted Christ as my saviour 4.5 years ago, and pray for people to ask me. I am saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, and there is no other way. Praise God for his son, praise him for redeeming this broken sinner. [IMG]

Heaven bound, hopin' not to stick around.

Are we not commanded to evangelize the world. How can we accomplish this if we do not proclaim our salvation to all who would listen. I am glad and humbled to be able to say I have been saved by the grace of God and through no good merit on my part.

While we may have a personal relatiuonship with Him, our relationship should not be kept hidden.

Since this is an internet forum, all of us are essentially anonymous. It would be no trick for even an islamofascist to be accepted by this forum as a member and a Christian.

So, in reality, the only thing we have to rely on to judge a person's sincerety and salvation is what they say and how they conduct themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are not a couple of members here that doubt my salvation. That's too bad, because I don't doubt it at all. Sometimes I may even overreact to a particular post and regret it later. Usually I express that regret, but not always.

But you won't find me dodging the question if someone asks me about my salvation. And when you ask me for a personal statement of faith, I won't answer that"Jesus Christ is very nice".

Since Islam is a religion. And Daisy clearly admitted having ties to Islam. It’s only natural for one to ask if she and her husband are Christians.

Daisy, yes, I am a Christian. Bought and paid for by the Blood of Christ, He is my only means for Salvation! Thank you Jesus!

Making a mistake of fact is NOT the same as deliberately misrepresenting a fact.
I did make a mistake, confusing the contractors who were beheaded with those who were dismembered for which I've already apologized.

However, I never did say beheading anyone was justified. I said the mercenaries were the least innocent target for terrorists. Since carpro disagrees, he should state who in his mind is the "least innocent target of terrorists".

Either carpro cannot comprehend what he reads or he enjoys blatently mispresenting it.

What I actually said was that the beheaders object to the invaders and those working for/with them.

How can carpro mistake what I said, "No, carpro, it is not "OK" to dismember or behead any one" for, "it's kind of OK to kill them"? That is extremely disengenuous if not an outright lie.

I'm actually shocked at the extent of carpro's dishonesty.

So, if carpro is not confused, he is outright lying.

No one.

Innocent is innocent. I try not to separate them into most or least.

You're the only one I know of that justifies murder in that way.

Daisy still has not answered the question of her Christianity.

What about it Daisy? Are you or are you not a Christian?

Also, it seems to me that calling someone a liar is a violation of the Forum Rules For Posting.

Two reasons: First, I already answered several of Enoch's questions, but he had declined to answer any of mine. Second, I consider the question rude and unwarranted.

If you actually read and understood what I wrote you would know that that is simply not true.
I think ~you~ are rather the opposite, but what do I know of you but how you've treated me?

Oh, so you simply skipped over the part where I said I was mistaken about that. You seem to read rather selectively.
Again, you seem to have skipped over the parts where I have said that beheading or dismembering anyone is never justified.
Judgemental, much?
Thank you for that, I suppose. (It would be more convincing if you didn't go on to do exactly that, though.)
SeekingTruth, please point out where I have insulted any one or called them names or implied that I should judge them on their commitment to Christ.

I have been sarcastic. If anyone's feelings were actually hurt by that -- phoney indignation does not count -- then let me know and I'll apologyse personally.

I have also answered in anger when my views have been deliberately misstated and when I have been called a liar. I do not apologyze for that.
I do not harbor any hate, let alone "such hate" for this country and for you to say that I do, severely misrepresents the truth. I am not aware of that I have compared "humiliation to torture" - if you disagree, provide the post - but I am very aware that many people, Americans in particular, are in denial that any torture by Americans has occurred; it seems to be cognitive disonnance <--linky to def.
SeekerofTruth, are you saying that I have taken refuge in my "supposed" Christianity when I have been challenged or were you refering to others?
On one thread only which was not only closed but whisked away out of sight because of your breaking the BB rule - or don't you remember that part?
"Admitted" is very insulting, as if it were something you dragged out of me, as if I hadn't said so many times before, as if it were something I had hidden.
I can see where it might be natural to ask about my husband, but I am offended that you questioned me.
Great! Now answer my other questions.

What makes you think that you have the right and duty to bully me?

If we were among heathens whom my answer might influence, I would've answered enthusiastically in the affirmative the first time and the second and the third ....

But since we are among Christians on a Christian board, I believe the question - the demand - from you for a show of faith is only you trying to assert some authority over me so you can say you "made" me. Perhaps it is wrong to defy you for your rudeness...

Should the mods, who do have authority over me here, should request or demand it, I will comply.

What I do not understand is why you insist that what I've posted is somehow un-Christian. I've said beheading is wrong. Dismembering is wrong. Killing is wrong. Torture is wrong. I'm not sure that I do love my enemies, but I do not hate them. Is trying to understand them somehow un-Christian?

I was called a liar several times by the same poster. Are you protesting that?

And when someone deliberately misstates something I've written or attributes to me nasty sentiments I've repeatedly denied, how exactly should I characterize that? I generally do say the poster is mistaken or confused, but when they continue their mistakes and confusion, over and over, well, what is the word for that?

I was not told that by the moderators, nor did I recieve any notice that a rule had been broken. So no, I do not remember that part. I do remember PMing you an apology for my words, and I remember never recieving a response.

Luke 9:26
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels. (no one is even close to being ashamed of Jesus...not even close but I respect
more the spiritual humble works of someone who walks the walk that speaks more volume
than someone just mouthing the words)

Matthew 10:32
"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. (confession is led by the Holy Spirit that helps us and it can be expressed in many
different ways ,not a problem ..just more open
to more ways to confessing and professing and
it can be done very humbly.)

Luke 12:8
"Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God.(..not a problem that can be
done in a myriad of ways it may not be your way
but it still gets the job done. [IMG]

I stand on what I said their are still very humble
and private Christians who profess Christ and it
may not be exactly as you do it or the culture
does it ..but still they are part of the body
of Christ. They do things privately and so their treasure is stored up in heaven and not
locked down here on earth they even confess Jesus
to others but they might not do it to those
they discern condemnation and religiosity.)

It is offensive to attack peoples relationship
with Jesus Christ here it should be off limits
no one really knows if the motive is of love
and concern or they dislike what a person says
so they try and dimminish that person.

This topic is off track
if we are going to debate and discuss salvation
and how we express/confess/profess with the
help of the Holy Spirit then lets move it to
the theology side.imho

Sincerely
Aslanspal

[IMG] I'm beginning to feel Daisy is a bit of a joker. Under her profile her personal statement of faith is, "Jesus Christ is very nice."

Well, yes, that's true. [IMG] Nice indeed.

Nice to see that you've backed off some on your statement that if anyone should get shot, it's those greedy contractors.

And, for your information, I definitely remember Fabrizio Quattrocchi, who showed us how a brave Italian dies.

Greedy is your word, your attribution, not mine. Once again, I was refering to the mercenaries. Once again, shooting anyone is wrong.

So Petrel, perhaps in all the fuss, you missed my questions to you, so I'll repeat:

Petrel, to whom have I assigned the worst of motives?

For that matter, what is the worst motive? Seriously, what do you consider the worst motive and who have I assigned it to?

Thank you. I do not think it is un-American to mourn non-Americans.

You said that the contractors who went to Iraq were no better than mercenaries (hired killers, if you weren't aware of that connotation) and that they were only there for money (i.e. greedy). You have backed off on this--now they're just foolish.

You also said that President Bush went to war simply for oil, and with gas prices being what they are, I can only wish you were right.

I can't claim to have followed this thread very closely, so there may be more.

The expression "worst of motives" is hyperbole. It means that you simply don't seem to be interested in attributing positive motives to anyone that you disagree with.

It was mioque who pointed it out to you - where is she? - It was put in the archive, but it's not there now.

 Now my memory has gone selective...I don't remember that and I cleaned out my PM box some time ago.
[IMG] (oops) I hope you'll accept a belated acceptance for your apology for questioning my salvation (that's what it was for, right?) as well as my own apology for tardiness.

*** for some reason, the wrongs done to me shine far more brightly in my memory than the wrongs I did others <sigh> ***
