Immigration and the Welfare State

Ken, today on Fox News, they were reporting about tuberculosis and polio being on the rise, brought here by illegal aliens - diseases we had pretty much stamped out in this country for decades. Now they are back and growing (not quite yet) to epidemic proportions. Worse yet, some of the strains of TB are resistant to antibiotics to treat them. One analyst even went so far as to say some illegals are coming here infected with TB knowing they will get free health care in this country.


Also, from people I know who are in property management, it is not unusual to find 15-20 of them living together in a two-bedroom apartment. That also helps the disease spread. How many of us are being exposed to TB when we buy fast food at McDonalds, etc.

 

The GOverment is too afraid, to tell the truth about telling this, in fear of being labeled racists.

If we don't control our borders we are history!

 

In my neighborhood the illegals hang out in mass at convience stores. The less than ethical employers come along and pick up the illegals for day labor.The police do absolutely to assist with this problem Here in Tennessee our public healthcare system (Tenncare) is on the verge on colapse. Illegals are on the program sucking up the tax dollars. Citizens in true need will be cut off while the illegals remain.Something must be done about illegal immigrants.

 

The immigrants as a class are stronger and smarter than the ones who stayed behind. Yes they bring in disease but they also bring in immune systems that have survived challenges our immune systems have not. They represent, in just a few more generations when they have melted into our society, a source of strength and greatness for our nation.

 

Oh and when many of us are lying in bed being cared for in our final years by health attendants paid at minimum wage, many of them will have accents and less than perfect english skills.

 

TB certainly has not been stamped out for decades. It has remained and grown resistant in the poorest and most overcrowded pockets of the cities. It has also found in prisons, which is odd because there if anywhere patients can be monitored and medicated at the intensity & regularity it requires.

Another problem with polio is that many parents don't want their children innoculated. When I was a child, we were tested regularly at school. I remember the booster doses given on sugarcubes.
