Lt. Gen. Russ Honore has coined a new expression for American English! At a press conference when a reporter wanted to talk about Katrina while Gen. Honore was trying to warn the public about Rita, the General silenced the reporter by advising him don't get stuck on stupid.

The Democrat Party claims to be the party of intellectuals but when you look at Democrat newspapers and see the shoddy reporting and the distortion and the attempts to stir up trouble for political goals, you can see that the Democrat media is stuck on stupid.

The Democrat media said that 10,000 would be dead from Katrina, 200 had died in the Superdome, etc., etc., etc. None of it was true but it sure was fun bashing the President in spite of the emergency.

Thank you, Lt. Gen. Russ Honore! I hope that you are in command in future emergencies because I believe in you and in no nonsense.

    CMG,

I loved it! I hadn't even looked at the link because someone sent the speech to me the other day in an E-mail, so when you mentioned the phrase, I knew exactly what you were talking about. That's what I would love to hear in a Presidential press conference! Heck, any press conference!

It has been a military saying for quite some time, and is now in the everyday American vocabulary.

The Democrats saw this hurricane as a way to prove Bush's incompetance, and it failed, yet again.

They are giving us the next election on a platter. America sees thru their bias.

FTR, maybe I am wrong, but I look at it like this:

Proverbs 27:17 (KJV) Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Gen. Honore sharpened up a few of them. Say, he's right up there with Gov. Jimmy Davis in my book! I am going to sleep better knowing that we have a man like that in our military.

Bro Curtis, don't be too confident about the next election. The Republican Party may win it, but that doesn't mean we'll have a Republican POTUS. The front runners aren't exactly right-wingers.

I know. It's like Dubya is FDR re-incarnate. I have accepted the fact that the U.S.A. will be a socialist country someday. I fear that more than I fear Muslim intimidation.
