Was Jesus a propitiation or an expiation or both? What say ye?

Well, it is clear from the Bible, that both terms are indeed correct. Propitiation and Expiation are two terms that are used to describe the Atonement made by Jesus Christ. As is also Ramsom.

Propitiation, is the act of appeasment, conciliation, atonement, expiation. All which is what Scripture teaches about the death of Jesus Christ.

Expiation, is a term used for the making of atonement. Of paying the due penalty for sins committed. Again, this is what we read in the Bible for the Atonement.
