To hyperconservatives and hyperfundamentalists, we might be. But since they tend to have a perverted view on the Word anyway, who cares what they think?

You'd think that, wouldn't you, from some of these posts. Well, they probably are.

There is nothing wrong with being a liberal, a conservative, a libertarian, a centrist, etc. The Bible does not tell us to hold to a particular political ideology.

    sure it does, KenH

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where [is] the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein].

    Amen, Shiloh!

That is not a political ideology. Tell me from that verse what I should advocate as U.S. policy in the area of modifications to Sarbanes-Oxley rules.

    Why worry about US policy?

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

That is what this thread is about, I think - political ideology.

funny, I don't see political mentioned in the title...

It is in the Political group, but from the title and discussion up to now, it has nothing to do with political ideology

No but some of the planks in some of these Ideologies can be things God told us not to hold to.

Agreed. And that applies to all ideologies as they are of human origin, not Divine.

Agreed, but from both of our perspectives some ideologies stray more than others. And I think a christian must investigate and take that into account.

From what I have observed from viewing most of the views, opinions and comments on this forum if you refrain from name calling and dont support the present administration 100% you are labeled a liberal. Remember "He who defines the terms wins the debate".

Agreed. But basic "liberalism"(which larry9179 has attacked in this thread) strays no further than basic "conservatism".

I guess when I hear "liberal", I hear NOW, Planned parenthood, Free love, and Ted Kennedy and Barny Frank.
