Neither is electing people who stand for all that the Bible is against.

All the better if true! However, I don't think it would be any worse than it is now... and might be better with less opportunity for payoffs and grandstanding.
The more voices of disagreement we can introduce to this, the better. It becomes a matter of mathematics. Now all a rep has to do is calculate the minimum that must be done to get re-elected- money and votes. With more reps, they'd have to actually represent the values of the constituents.
A congressman shouldn't need a staff like they have. They should personally meet with the people in their district.

I truly wish there was Godly men to vote for especially in Presidential elections.

    Anybody here like Newt Gingrich?

Yes. But I am not sure I would trust a man with his sometimes questionable character and judgment with the power of the presidency.

Many of his political ideals are right on (not all). But Newt is a guy who needs a cause to fight... He's a natural zealot. I think he would probably make one up for the lack of one.

I think Clinton could have just as easily been a conservative president as liberal. I don't think he had any values except power itself. OTOH, I think Newt could probably be just as zealous for liberal policies as conservative if he could be convinced of their merit.

On second thought, there are at least 8 years of conservative causes to be fought before he ran out...

Still I don't like some of the character flaws revealed in his personal life. Would be pretty hypocritical of me to assert that Clinton shouldn't have been president due to a lack of character then support Newt who demonstrated a similar lack. He would have to be convincingly repentant before I could support him.

Clinton btw has not repented. He continues to blame Republicans for his scandals rather admitting that they were a product of his own personal immorality.

Instead of spouting such vitriol in general terms be specific, name names, provide examples. Your rantings, posted below, below remind me of the advice of James, the brother of our LORD:

    James 3;3-8
    3. Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
    4. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
    5. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
    6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
    7. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
    8. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

I frankly do not care what you call me. Your defense of Republicans and bashing of Democrats and trying to put that on a Godly yardstick makes me sick.

Often times, some new member thinks he's the Holy Spirit, and tries to convict everyone of their supposed sins. Get off yer self-pious horse, I'll stand before God, that is correct. But since you ain't him, step off.

No, I am not the Holy Spirit, but neither is Rush Limbaugh. Sorry to break the news.

And exactly WHERE did I say he was ?

You know, lies aren't very Christ-like. Neither is accusing people of having air (are) in their heads instead of brains. You are a hypocrite. Perhaps a troll. I don't know, but I won't be talking with thge likes of you anymore. Have a nice life.

I will admit that I bash democrats and the democrat party. The simple reasons are:

    1. They openly espouse the murder of unborn children, almost 50,000,000 to date. I realize that some will say that it was a Republican appointed Court that passed Roe v Wade. However, it was a liberal Court just the way the democrats want.

    2. They continually bash the United States. According to them this country is always wrong, never right.

    3. They frequently compare the US Military to Nazi Storm Troopers, Turbin Durbin on the Senate floor for example and John [swiftboat] Kerry in a recent tirade..

    4. The Senate minority leader brags about defeating the Patriot Act.

    5. They openly admit they want the Federal Courts to legislate rather than Congress and the State legislatures.

    6. When push comes to shove they will endorse homosexual marriage as some democrat mayors already have.

I feel myself getting drawn into a democratic vs republican debate, and its not going to happen. I do not disagree with your post. Those six reasons make me detest the democratic party, especially one and six. I am not sure what the rest have to do with Christianity. But, if you want a republican list, lets see, no new taxes, read my lips, i am not a crook, my dog checkers, lots of weapons of mass destruction, iran-contra, PATCO strike, need I go on? I think the point is quite clear. Both parties need dismantling and we should start over. That has NOTHING to do with the US Constitution. The democrats tend to be more amoral, and republicans more power hungry, but there is a mixture of both. My apologies to the board for the back and forth with montana man. I wont be drawn into that again.

I'd say God. Why, then are we debating liberals vs. conservatives? We're all on the same side (except those misguided Armenians, Catholics, etc.).

Overall, the abortion rate has gone up under Bush at least for his first term. I haven't yet found statistics for his second.

I don't like to think of abortion as being a liberal-conservative issue, although the political landscape shapes up that way. There are liberals who oppose abortion, and conservatives who are pro-abortion. I'd like to think of it as a law and order issue vs. a medical issue, because it is terminating life. If we can unite around that, I'm all for it, and I'm convinced it is what our Lord would want.
