Haven't read the "study" but considering this came out of Harvard which recently admitted the Taliban spokesman, and which receives millions of dollars every year from the bin Laden family and other Saudis, I suspect this is more Jew bashing.

i agree - sorry if i've implied that only anti-semites agree with that paper. Israel-palestine is a complex situtation and we must show love for both sides. Coming from a jewish background i guess i have a tendency to underplay Palestine, which is wrong of me.

I will research this more when I have time. And, as I noted in my previous post, Harvard is the recipient of many Arab dollars, to the tune of millions per year. Of course, they are going to be Jew bashing, so the study in the OP is hardly credible.

Have you read proverbs - don't you know that children can't be held responsible for the actions of their parents. People are born with free will, there actions are their own and they should be judged accordingly. We are not predisposed to 'evil' just because we come from a different race. Our evil is our own free-will, it has nothing to do which race we come from

Here's what I really think since you asked in such an accusatory manner.

I think these passages sum up Jesus' feelings about the ruling elite class' hypocrisy along with their propagandists (scribes). I believe Jesus was giving a word to the wise in these passages for those attending this sermon as well as those of future generations. His word's on this matter wasn't only leveled at the hypocrites of 2,000 years ago.

I think it's ridiculous to accuse a person of hating someone when that person has never said that he hated anyone for any reason at all much less the race another comes from. Unless of course you equate hate with questioning anothers motives, I've noticed alot of the Bush/Clinton coalition supporters favor this tactic.

That would all be fine and dandy if everyone was treated equally on a level playing field but that doesn't happen very often does it? You seem to be claiming that evil is an individual choice on the one hand to which I agree yet on the other you accuse me of hating a whole race because I have questioned the motives and actions of a few individuals. I never accused a whole race of owning and controlling the media no more than I ever accused a whole race of lobbying our government for special favors.

Now I could turn this around and claim that you hate all southern baptists by using the same logic you accuse me of hating a whole race. But I choose instead to use that discretion Phillip spoke of.

 

We don't know who our owners are because they don't want us to know. I susbcribe to various conspiracy theories. Nothing in the last 300 years has stopped the transfer of assets from the working people to our owners.

 

The evidence at this time would suggest that the European royalty in general and Prince Charles in particular are our owners or very close to becoming so through globalization, Agenda 21 and sustainable development. Then there is the private central bankers with their fiat currencies and debt based economics, then the international corporations that own the media and lobby governments and put politicians in their pockets as Al Capone could only dream of doing a few decades ago.

Of course the corporate MSM media isn't going to share this knowledge with us as they would lose their biggest advertizers, their owners.

 

A few mixed thoughts.

I find anti-Semitism disgusting and am disturbed that poncho didn't take the opportunity to disavow such a label.

On the other side (and I confess to both sides I've not read the study), John Mearsheimer is a long- and well-respected scholar in defense issues. I know of no propensity to anti-Semitism on his part.

It it quite unfair and poor logic to "argue" that just because David Duke praises something it is therefore illegitimate. The Klan endorsed Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was not a racist.
