You picked the perfect title for this one Joeseph.Too bad we have Democratic Senators representing us here in Arkansas, they will most likely support Bush on this one.

 

It sure is hard to talk about that guy. He has let me down so many times. But it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation about it, when (most of) the left is screaming that he lied to get us into war, he likes watching black people drown, and he sent the typhoon to Indonesia.

I don't expect much. I beleive he'd get a lot of support for bringing a hammer down. He's being intimidated by a very vocal minority.

 

My take on the President Bush's speech:

1. President Bush stated that border security is urgent. Why has it taken four years and eight months after the 9/11 attacks to decide that border security is urgent?

2. President Bush can dress it up all he wants but to give citizenship to illegal aliens already in our country is an amnesty program and the Congress should oppose such an idea.

3. Adding 6,000 National Guard troops to give help in the background to 12,000 Border Patrol agents to stop 3,000,000 illegal aliens that cross our borders each year is hardly worthy of being called a "secure our borders" policy.

4. I noticed that President Bush did not mention coming down hard on those who employ illegal aliens.

 

For once, Ken, you and I agree. The title of this post is right on. Only, I wouldn't even rate it as a bone, just mere crumbs.

 

I don't agree. I don't think he gets intimidated at all, rather, his globalistic ideals supercede his allegiance to the sovreignity of the USA.

Also, he spoke about Mexico being a "friend" and neighbor. Mexico is not our friend when their government is involved in litigation against this country (what I heard today) on the illegal immigration issue, when Mexico sends their poor to our country because they won't address their own problems caused by corruption, and when the Mexican government even prints booklets to aid illegals who cross our borders, telling them how to blend in and not draw attention to themselves, etc. With friends like these, we don't need enemies, IMO.

 

Why waste time listening to anything this politician has to say? His programs are not going to get through, his administration is history, and his words are irrelevent.

 

You're right. And Republicans are also history if they don't buck up and pay attention to the majority of the American people, including their base. All the polls I've been on tonight are for deportation and NO guest worker program.

One of the things I hated the most about Clinton was that he seemed to govern by the polls. Whatever the polls said, that was what he would do. Then Bush came along and said, “We are going to do what is right no matter what the polls say.” I thought that was great until we get to this immigration thing and polls like the one Lady Eagle linked us to that run 95% to 5% and Bush still doesn’t seem to listen.

Last night he mentioned all these high tech toys he wants on the border, motion sensors, unmanned aircraft, night vision and all that stuff. Yet he still falls short of building a fence. Isn’t chain link and razor wire cheaper than robotic aircraft?

 

Yes, but then The Collaborators would have to make physical hole in the fence to get the drugs and illegals across...

Securing our borders would go against the administrations plans to open our borders. They have to keep the borders open for FTAA, just one of the many pieces of the puzzle. Here are some others:

Katherine Harris has introduced a bill, H.R. 2672: North American Cooperative Security Act, that will expand Homeland Security to cover not only the US, but will join forces with Mexico and Canada to further erase our borders.

The FDA is already making plans to harmonize with Canada and Mexico via the Trilateral Cooperation Charter.

The completion of the Interstate 69 Corridor (Trans Texas Corridor), which the Texas State Legislature voted for and passed in June 2003, H.R. 3585. This huge highway project, with sections already completed, will run through the United States from its southern border of Mexico through to the northern border of Canada.

These are all part of the CFR's plan for "Building a North American Community".

Nobody wants to hear or read this JGrubbs. They'd rather believe the tv and radio talking heads that tell them it's all about the hispanic vote and cheap labor so what if the globalists own documents say it's about abolishing the borders and lowering wages.

Our favorite tv and radio hosts wouldn't hide the truth from us, everyone "knows" that.
