So I take it you are expecting a Spurs and Piston rematch?

Nah, not sure if the Spurs can make it out of the west. Just posted it to do it. The Spurs are not really lookig like champions imho. Their numbers match up pretty well though, don't they?

Dallas looking good, but, Spurs still have some life in them. Should be a good old Texas brawl.
Detriot still the team to beat.

This might be one of the rare instances we disagree here on the BB, as my Cavaliers will give the pistons all they can handle

I do think the Pistons will win it in 6, though. If the refs keep targeting LeBron with these phantom charging calls, I'm going to lose the last of my hair!

Web, I would love to see the Cavs give the Pistons a battle. But I just do not see it. The Cavs just do not have the horses to hang with the Pistons. I say Pistons in 5.

I didnt' think the Wizards would be much of a battle for the Cavaliers, either, regardless of their record against the Cavs during the regular season. Their defense is horrible.

The playoffs are a different animal, so we'll see. If Z and Larry Hughes do what they did against the Wizards, I'll agree with you. This Pistons won the season series 3 - 1, so you may be right.

Yeah I figured this was their end after not capping game 6. Did you notice that Kobe tried to share and allow the others to do their part but to no avail.

Looks like the Suns and SA Or Mav's in the West. Go Mavericks [IMG] [IMG] :D

I think it will be NJN and Detroit in the East. Go Nets I can't stand the Bad Boys, they must have put together that lemon I drive.
:D [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Oh did I say that out loud... I am sorry....Not.

They aren't the bad boys, that was over a decade ago, they are the Pistons and they will win the championship this year. Barring somthing unusal, there is not a team in the East that will stop them from making the finals.

</font>[/QUOTE]I don't think that Lebron will have the liberty he did to score in the Washington series this time against Detroit. The Pistons are without argument the best defensive team in the East and they limited James to 25 points durning the regular season. Most likely he will be matched up with Tayshun Prince, whoes long arms and defensive abilites will slow LJ down.

You mean like the Red Wings were going to win the NHL :D [IMG] [IMG]

I do not like the Pistons at all, but I am not blind [IMG] . The Cavs are not there yet.

This is a bad matchup for LeBron and if he does get by Prince then he has to deal with Big Ben. He just does not have the guys around him yet that he needs to get past the Pistons.

My Spurs toughed it out and pulled out a very important game 1 win. I plan on going to Tuesday's night game and am confident to see them take a 2-0 lead.

    GO SPURS GO!!!

Yeah I notice that but....is it just me or was something going on? I think Kobe was trying to prove a pt or something. I mean how many shots did He take?! He acted like he wanted to show the world that they could not win without him shooting.

    Tim,
I was wondering the same thing. Kobe did not say anything and neither did Jackson, but, 3 shots sure seemed strange the second half.

    Lebron who?
    Pistons 118 Cavs 83

Dan Wetzel from Yahoo sports had an interesting op-ep column about how the leauge and ABC really goofed in their scheduling and promotion of this Sundays games.

They made the Spurs/Mavs game the early game which was predictibly more entertaining than that Pistons/Cavs game. But the NBA and ABC is looking for a super start to market as the next MJ and they think they found it in Lebron. The Nike commercials they were running had the slogan "we are wittnesses". Yeah we witnessed the Pistons holding James to 22 points and shooting 10 for 11 3 pointers in the first half.

Here is a link it was an interesting read.
