    Amen brother CC!

I'm outta here to work Det 77 Cavs 77. Say what you will but Saunders is not a crunch time coach. He does not seem to analyse quickly in given situations and therefore does not make adjustment quickly enough.

So I guess "those cats" beat them pistons ... pride goes before a fall. I am betting R.Wallace will watch his words before he starts talking to the next legand of the NBA.

Brother, you have greater faith than I do. I think the Mavs will close it out in game 6. But, then again, after the Pistons destroyed the Cavs in Game 1, I figured they'd sweep the series.

Is there still time to hop on the Cavs bandwagon? ;)

I am getting no sleep! These two teams are playing one of the best series I have ever watched. In all games but one the losing team has had a real chance to win it on the last shot.

My Mavs had better take care of business at home on friday - I think I know what would happen in a game seven in san antonio

I don't think there is going to be a game 7. The Spurs barely squeaked by the Mavs in a game I expected them to come out and win by 10.

I think it will be another great game, but the Mavs close it out in game 6.

However, I agree with Jimmy C, if it gets to a game 7 I think the Spurs would probably win it.

</font>[/QUOTE]That's o.k., the Tigers keep on winning, so I'm happy. If anyone should beat the Pistons, the Cavs are a team I could root for. I think it would be neat to see them beat the Heat also and make it to the finals.

Surely you are not going to say that the Tigers winning in May would soften the potential early exit by the Pistons in the playoffs? I find that hard to believe.

I still fully expect the Pistons to win this seris by the way. But I sure won't complain if I am wrong. :D [IMG]

I'm much more of a baseball fan than basketball, so for me, yes. Basketball just isn't as fun now as when we had the Bad Boys!

SBC, I congradulate you for at least not posting anything about the piston's loss till after the Mavs, SA game. I see one person was on right after the game.
Very ugly games, Detroit and Cleveland. I am not sure who is going to come out on top but I am very frustrated with their play.

    Another subjective opinion ;) .

This is the second game in this series that the Spurs should have lost. Avery is definitely outcoaching Pop.

I find myself suddenly almost as frustrated with the Spurs strategy as I was with Tennessee's pathetic OC last year. They have somehow determined that it is better to play the Mavs at their game than SA's game.

I'd like to see the Spurs do to Dirk what the Mavs are doing to Duncan. Use their 3 big guys on him until they use up all their fouls. I'd rough him up the same way Dampier is doing Duncan.

And another thing, Pop is letting Johnson get away with that line up. Dirk can't be defensed by anyone SA is playing in their small line up... he also can't defense anyone SA is playing in that small line up. Why aren't they isolating him and fouling him out or at least forcing the Mavs to adjust their rotation? Dirk can't guard any of the small guys or Duncan either.

I don't think the Spurs will make it back to SA unless they go big and start dictating to Dallas. If they continue to play Dallas' game, they shouldn't beat them two more games in a row regardless of where they play. That strategy depends on Dallas choking.

If you would have told me before the playoffs that we could possibly see a finals matchup that did not include the Spurs or the Pistons I would have said you were completely nuts!

Well I figured it worked so well for you, I might as well join in [IMG]

But you see mine has nothing to do with refs and bad calls, etc. I am just simply stating my opinion of what will take place in the series.

The problem with sending three men at dirk is that they mavs have been a hydra this post season - cut off one head and five grow in its place. The spurs to date have not been great with the outside shot - although I cringe every time bowen gets a good look from the corner!

I like what Pop did with duncan this game - he ran almost every play through him - at least in the first half. I dont see that the Mavs big men are so much roughing him up - but duncan is getting the calls and getting the mavs into foul trouble.

There were several calls that I thought could have gone the mavs way last night that didnt - but at the end, the mavs had a good look and a shot to win the game. dont know if you noticed but Devin Harris was wide open - if the ball had come into him he had a great chance to drive. Dirk was also open cutting down the lane - but the risk would have been having the pass stolen.

The Mavs are looking forward to a little home cooking and hope the fans can help the reffs again!

Ah well, on to game six - GO MAVS
