I'm gonna miss you! But I understand your need to leave. I'm looking forward to the surprise. It dosn't explode does it?! Kidding!

Brother Glen, you made the Clean Humor forum tingle with all the bells - for before you it was empty and soundless. It became loud with giggles and laughter, as the folks (including myself) were reading your countless compositions. Before you posted anything on the Baptist Board, you posted humor. And it lighted up the dark recesses of the board and people had a big grin on their faces, even when they showed up on other forums. They say that laughter is a good medicine, so you certainly contributed to the health of the BB all this time.

But then came sorrow, and we prayed with you as you feared for the health of your dear wife, Charlotte. Our prayers were knocking at heaven's gate oft as we joined our hearts with yours over the vast distances (from all over the world). We grieved with you when the Lord called your life mate away, even though we knew that it was far better for her to be with the Lord than to go through all that agony and pain. We know that you obtained comfort, love, and grace from the Lord as He gently caressed your heart. Now you have to minister to the need of your son, and you have our prayer support in that as well.

While we are going to miss you terribly, we do understand your prayerful decision. We trust and pray that the good Lord will take care of you, as He always do. Please pray for us, for the ministry of the Baptist Board - for it has been a blessed oasis for many who were crossing the waterless deserts of life. You have left a wonderful testimony and example behind, and we shall treasure that for a long time. Let us hope that as the Lord allows you, you will look us up from time to time and share with us the joy of the Lord, which will always remain your strength! God bless old friend.

 

i think i met you at the Calvinist/Arminianist Forum. well, you may not be gone totally. you can still drop by and spend about 10 minutes a week here, right? and with that you can give enough hi's and hello's to many people here.

 

Sorry to see you leaving brother Glen and I can't wait to find out the news when you return.

I am new to Baptist Board and was just looking for something that might interest me.
I came across this "farewell" and opened it to see who was leaving, and where they were going.
I don't know this person, or the situation.
However, I came across the comment, "I recommend Brother Dallas for moderator."
Well, my name is Dallas, and I did answer a PM with they signature.
So I kept reading and found out that the "Brother Dallas" he was referring to was Brother Dallas Eaton.
Well, Dallas is not a real common name, so I would like to get to know This other Brother Dallas.
