    Hey Everybody!
I finally reached it to 19! ;) I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Lord for all he's done for me! I have so many good friends, A Great Family, A GREAT church, and A GREAT pastor! I know this year is gonna be great cause I have the Lord to walk beside me :D I don't know if anyone who will read this is as old or older than I am, but did you do anything special as your teenage years were winding down? Thought It would be neat to hear some stories [IMG] So type away! [IMG]

Okay. I am not a youth, but I was a long time ago!

    Happy Birthday!

I don't think I did anything particularly special because my teen years were winding down, no. I had lots of good experiences, probably just as many bad experiences.

Let's see. At 19 I had just been promoted to purchasing agent at my company, and thinking about going back to college, which I finally did a few months after my 20th birthday (still working on that graduation thing [IMG] ).

Coming out from under my parents financial ties was a very big part of growing up for me. They've always been permissive, so I didn't have any of those "I'm free! I'm free!" moments that a lot of people I went to school with did.

Doing well in my job was a big deal, as was going back to college. Next came figuring out what I wanted to study, and where I wanted my career to go. Moving to a completely different city was also a big step for me, as was not having school to hide in anymore. I have real responsibilities now, and I can't be lax in those responsibilities. That luxury is a double edged sword, let me tell you!

    Congrats again!

When I was 19, I too did a lot of growing up, and was also the year that my finacee and I started courting. I remember, considering it was just last year, that although I was now considered an adult by the government, that I had to earn that right to be called an adult by my actions.

I wish you best of luck in your ventures as an adult, but remeber that life is never easy, each year you put under your belt brings about another year with different challenges, and life will never be as easy or pleasant as we would like it to be all the time.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and His plans for you will happen!

    Love in Christ!

Well - i did do something for myself - i made sure i went to the last year of camp that I could - and I made sure i had fun - being an adult with adult responsibilities sometimes gets in the way of having fun (not always tho - I still have fun *looks nervously over his shoulder*)

Trust me you'll miss those summer camp days - and until you can swing enough time off to become a camp counsellor - those memories often help you through some dark and lonely times. Not that being an adult is dark and lonely ;)
