It is very difficult to link to something that does not exist. :)

The only answer I can give to this:
I am thankful I never saw any of it. I am on the board almost every day, but I never saw any of the trash that has been described in this thread. I am truly sorry for those of you who have.

A thought crossed my mind (and quickly ran down the road), some such as Habakkuk are probably asking the same questions he did:

Habakkuk 1:13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than he?

We waited several centuries for the NT answer:

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Besides, even these who attempt to vex and tempt (if possible) His sons and daughters with their filthy communications - is not God willing or at least willingly offering the gift of salvation to them as He has to us?

Yeah, it was pretty raunchy, two men. I saw it about 30 or 40 minutes after it was posted.

I also saw the one with the sheep. I reported it, but the other had been there long enough that I figured it must have already been reported.

No reason to throw in the towel, though. It wasn't endorsed by site admin

    Couple quick observations.

Cassidy didn't need to "communicate" what he saw. We all know what vile is, and the imagery of words HE put forth was wrong. People write to communicate, and present to the readers. He desired to communicate not only that there were vile pictures, but in describing the pictures he desired that everyone actually picture in their own head what was vile.

It was done on purpose and rather than apologize, he entrenched his conduct in blaming others. That is not worthy of him.

Second, add blocking is most certainly needed by members. But not just the members but by the board stock holders. Not a single add should appear that is not approved and even some indication of that approval on the add. It may be as small as an "A" (for approved) in a circle, but it would show the BB members that specific add has been authorized.

There is no reason for the BB to be run without a considered dedication to not only the structural programming, but the integrity of the site in all matters - including adds. It is not good that the website "look good" or function, but that the statement of faith in which all posters agree is not violated by any portion of the site.

If the adds are inappropriate, then they should be banned by the moderators and or administrators, just as quickly as any poster.

I've got an ad blocker so I don't see ads. Are people complaining because there are inappropriate ads being run on BB? If so, I'd like to see one and judge for myself.

I am very sorry to see Sovereigngrace leave. Despite his rather shaky French (the plural of 'Monsieur' is 'Messieurs') I have been blessed by many of his posts.
I have seen none of this pornography on the Board, and in any case it appears to have gone now. I hope SG will observe this and return.

SovereignGrace apparently took offense at some of the dating sites advertised here on the BB. I logged off my Ad Blocker so I could see them and didn't see anything that I would consider inappropriate. One of them was for a Christian Singles site that seems to be pretty good about maintaining proper decorum.

But each to his own. Romans 14:5b Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

I will miss him. He was a thoughtful and well informed poster.

A more relevant statement might be "Discretion is the better part of valor."

Some of them are very suggestive, though. Perhaps a fund could be started specifically for making the forum ad free.

    God bless.

You said that a man and a woman meeting in public might have an appearance of sin. I suppose an dating site ad that shows a man and a woman must drive you crazy.

Actually I never said that, you did. Do you really want to have your error on that point discussed as well? lol

But, go ahead...show where I said that, ITL. Just try to read it before you actually post it.

As far as the ads go, as I said I think they are very suggestive. I'm a man, and just as susceptible to temptation as anyone else. Doesn't drive me crazy, but would prefer not to have that sort of thing coming up every time I hit the home page, lol.

A lesson of boxing I was taught as a kid was in regards to boxers smoking a cigarette every now and then. The reason...so when they got in the ring the smoke would not impact their impact, so to speak. We are going to be exposed to stuff like that, and this kind of thing doesn't phase me that much, I used to be a Heavy Metal Musician, lol. Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll, right? The ads are tame in comparison to what I have seen in my youth, but that doesn't mean I care for it to be on the forum.

Not sure what it would cost a forum of this size to buy ad blocking, but a suggestion for a fund might be a good idea.

    God bless.

I am back to see if this place has cleaned itself up. The 'Asian date' ad is a little bothersome, but I will see how this goes.

If you look at then upper right hand corner of the ad, you'll see two blocks, an arrow which leads to info about Google ads and an x.
    • Click the x and then Report This Ad
    • Then choose from Inappropriate, Irrelevant, or Repetitive.
The ads are pretty much on auto pilot otherwise.

Spelling is in need of a rippon attack. I wish you well, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!
