I love this story! I think as Christians we all should try and do one good deed a day! As long as we are able. Then one day when we need a good deed there may be someone who will help us!
God bless. The world is good.

The story was nothing like I expected to it be. It made me smile. What a great deed. There should be more people like that. :)

Nothing like doing one's good deeds in secret...

I was just thinking the same thing. I appreciate what they did. I just hate it when we, the Christians, kinda broadcast it.

If Natasha had gone back and told folks about it, that's one thing. But to do it, record it and then make it available to the public doesn't sit well with me as being the way of Christ.

I agree. You don't really have to broadcast your good deeds to others, as though you were waiting for someone to give you a pat on the back.

Anyway, I am happy to hear about news.

Things like this bring hope back to my heart. All we hear about are the Christians who are "bigots" or "intolerant" just for standing for our faith. This is such a nice story that hopefully can show others what Christianity is.

I like hearing stories like this, you never know when and where God will bless you. What God does for others he can do the same for you.

The word "exploitation" arrives to mind. I wonder if anyone considered that the lady might feel humiliated being made such a spectacle.

By filming the presentation, then publishing it, I cannot get past the suspicion that it seems self-serving.

    My opinion only.

As for me I am glad to see it.

Just how often does the Church make it into the media spotlight and it's not something negative?

It happens and the Church is exploiting? lol

Maybe so. And maybe the Church ought to exploit a little more often...

    God bless.

    *rolling my eyes*

You do not really think that your comment is going to change my opinion, do you?

I think that, by broadcasting their good work, they have their reward (the praise of man) here on earth.

You know there's a difference between making it into the media spotlight and actively SEEKING the media spotlight. This was an "hey! look at what we did" show designed to showcase the church and what it did. That goes against Scripture. If you want to make a video or place it on a site where only church members can see it, that's one thing. I mean seriously, why is this picture

online unless your intent was to showcase your "generosity" to the world? How did any outside source get a hold of this picture or the video unless somebody present at the time the picture was taken wanted to broadcast it?

1“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
    Matthew 6:1-4

    This was beyond tacky.

Not to mention, I just didn't care for the way they took her into a full sanctuary in front of the congregation so that they could do what they did and then broadcast it. It was very off-putting and simply a bad decision by the Pastor, IMO.

It's nice, but I kind of wish they would have not recorded it for all to see.

No, people who are prone to overreacting are not likely to have their minds changed. Broadcasting is not what they were doing. That is an assumption without foundation. Their intent was not to show men and there is no reason to impose that on them.

So it was filmed then published by accident. Got it.
