Putin says Trump is ‘absolute leader’ in U.S. presidential race

"...Many of Putin’s comments circled back to relations with the United States, including a bit of look-ahead musing on the White House race. Putin said Russia would work with “whomever the American voters choose,” but he singled out Trump.

“He’s a very lively man, talented without doubt,” Putin said according to the Interfax news service after the news conference. He added that Trump is the “absolute leader in the presidential race.”

He’s saying he wants to go to another level of relations — closer, deeper relations with Russia,” Putin continued. “How can we not welcome that? Of course we welcome that.”..."

Putin knows that Trump is a dufus and that he can run circles around him politically and turn his presidency into a foreign policy nightmare for the US. He must be salvating at the though of what he can do if Trump is elected. Having Putin say nice things about him is more than enough reason to not vote for him. Putin never says anything good or bad about another political leader without having planned how it will help him, Putin that is.

Every sound bite from Putin is designed for maximum divisiveness. Any connection to Putin's real opinions is purely coincidental.

I guess time will tell what folks think of Putin's apparent endorsement. If he gains ground I suppose that means his supporters are not only white racists but are also 'dufuses'.

Actually Putin is most likely returning to Trump in kind:

Trump: 'I would get along with Putin' - 09-16-15

The U.S. should've been 'getting along' and talking with Putin a long while back instead of making these stupid, provoking, neocon moves into Ukraine.

This is hilarious. Putin is former KGB and a very smart man. He's stroking Trump's ego because he knows how narcissistic the man is. And who would Putin want leading the US? A former US Senator on the Armed Services Committee with intelligence access about Russia? A former SOS with intelligence experience and International Affairs experience that more than rivals his own?

    Or Donald Trump?Biggrin

    This is HILARIOUS!!!

It's like Superman saying Jimmy Olsen is a force to be reckoned with.

About as hilarious as movie star Ronald Reagan surrounding himself with top notch people thus creating one of the best administrations ever. Trump would do that also, I've no doubt.

There is an alternative explanation for Putin's attraction to Trump.

The Donald doesn't take any baloney from anyone but stands up to you and when he's through there is no doubt what he thinks, you know he has a spine and you know he is no cream puff.

    INCOMING!!

For some folks, I'm sure he was. There are plenty of the same folks who think DT will make a great President too. I'm sure there were some who thought Hitler was a great Fuhrer or that Stalin and Pol Pot were great General Secretaries.

Should Trump welcome "kind" words from a leader who is know to have journalists and opponents murdered.

Now CTB. You know that some don't care as long as he doesn't endorse a Democrat. And Trump could serve Muslims up like steak tartare in primetime and some of the folks would claim it was their faults and still vote for him.

This makes me wonder if they're in league with each other. I just can't support a candidate who fosters hatred and fear among his voter pool and a President who allows the killing of journalists. Both are just really bad media in my opinion.

To make those comparisons is reprehensible Zaac.

The things DT has said, and with which a lot of the GOP seems to be okay with, are reprehensible too.

True and he mocked a paralytic as well.
But I suppose one can say he is not ashamed to show his feelings.
