Anyone got there calling yet?

    I am only 13 and I have already had my calling to missions. Infact I am going forward in church sunday and going to devote my life. WEll probably maybe even tomorow in the RECOVERY ROOM at the hospital b/c i have surgery and my pastor is coming in to see me afterwards. Please respond.

    For a while now I can tell God wants me to go into the missions field. Yes I am very young. Infact barely a teen. But he gave me an early calling.

    That's great you think you know what God wants you to do at such an early age, but don't be surprised if it changes. Get some experience doing different things. Try going on any missions trips you can, but don't neglect an opportunity just because you think you'd never need that experience.

    I am going to talk to the youth minister. I am going to see if he could plan some missions trips this year. I REALLY wanna get started. I am going to go to the library when I get the chance to check out books on foregn countrys and languages.

    thats wounderful that you have your call so very young, dont let anyone discouage you because they will try. i was called to preach when i was a little older then you i was 14 and its been heard lonely BUT worth it!!!!! if i may i will give you some advice dont plan your life keep the call cuz that is you life dont deside what field you want yet just walk by faith. in my own life i thought i was going to be a missionary then it was a pastor then an evangelist right now i dont know what God has for me all i know is that he wants me to preach.

    I got that same exact calling for about 2 years.
    The first time God started to show me this was
    when I went on my first mission trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was pretty awesome!We were passing out Jesus video's out there. Then now that I'm in the youth we go on other mission trips. First Alabama, then this last year we went to Tennessee(Centrifuge and Missionfuge).Everyday
    He would press it on my heart then I just had to say "here am i send me". Then I went forward and announced it to my church. Just like you are about to do! Yeah and were about the same age, too. I'm 14. I be praying for you! That your surgery went ok and your calling.

    Yes, I do have, well at least part of my calling.
    I know that God has called me to preach, and I have alot already. And lately I believe that God is leading me to work with children.

    i cant remember who said that they would be praying for me about my surgery but yea it went ok
    i have 4 stitches but im fine now

    Hey,
    Tonight I went forward at church. I had also talked to the pastor and the youth pastor/associate pastor before the service acaully started and then I went forward and made it public to the church that I had a calling to the ministry and that I wasnt sure what it was. So the church is praying for me.
    Thats what I need.

    Praise God you know what God wants of you. Don't let anyone discourage you! In God's time He will direct you to where He wants you, so don't worry about that.
    One of the pastors in my town that I listen to on tape quite often said "IF God calls a man to preach, he'll do one of two things. Preach or die."
    It's good you've surrendered now, because I know of some who've been called and never went. These people are some of the sadest you could meet. They're minds are filled with "what could have been."
    And do what you can now were you're at. Go on visitation, knock of some doors. Give out tracts, and wittness to someone one on one.

    Thanks for the advice. I do church outreach every thursday night with an exception of a few but for the most part I do go.

    So where do you think the Lords calling you to go
    (bender99) in the world, for a Mission Field? Me, personally I'm not sure where I'm going. Faith and trust is only thing I know for sure!

    Yes, possible missions. I am not sure right now but I know it is ministry.
