I'm not sure, depends on who the Democratic candidate is. If it's Dean, I'll definently be voting for Bush. If it's Clark I'll have to put in some more research before deciding.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I just know that Dean is everything I wouldn't want in a President. He's royally screwed up Vermont, I don't see why he wouldn't do the same thing to the country. Whereas with Clark I don't know enough about his policies to know what he would do, so I would be sure to educate myself before deciding.

 

Please make very sure you know where he stands on abortion, Tax Cuts, and the UN. I'll give you a clue: There is no difference in any of the candidates in the Democrat party. They are all pro-abortion, anti-tax cut, and pro-UN. They are all liberal. The only difference between Clark and the others is that he is a retired General.

This is my first year getting to vote too!! I'm so excited!! It's one of the many privledges of living in America and it's by God's grace that I'm here today! Without a doubt I'm voting for Bush!!! God blessed our Nation by letting Bush be our President and I pray that he will do it again!! All I know is if a Democrat gets back in office our Country will go down hill fast!! The Lord doesn't bless sin and almost all of the stands that the Democrats take are in rebellion to God's ways and His word. God bless our country, God bless president Bush!! And I pray that the Lord would have mercy on America once again and let President Bush stay in office!

hey i am not old enough to vote yet but I would vote for Bush. If I had to go for a democrat i would go for Clark. But, I wouldn't go for a democrat.

 

The only democrat I would consider voting for would be Lieberman. He's the only one who hasn't jumped back and forth about the war and issues like that, and while I disagree with the entire Democratic domestic agenda, Bush's doesn't seem much better (especially with the amnesty issue), although I'm having trouble finding some clarifications on his proposals even on his own website. For once I wish a politician would go into details rather than make vague comments.

If I had not resigned myself to the fact that it's a two-party system realistically, I'd vote third-party. Sadly though, it's not.

I'm perfectly aware of that. Bush is not much better, though, seeing as he has done very little for the pro-life cause. And unlike some people on this board, I don't think abortion is the central issue in this election, though I am against it. Bush is pro-life in name only; he's trying to make abortion more humane a la the death penalty, not stopping it. Therefore I don't see much of a difference between them on this issue, and as such this issue won't sway me to one side or the other.

Also, as a strict constructionist, I don't see abortion as being a federal matter, unless you want to argue that it falls under the general welfare clause as stated in Section 8 of Article I. As regulating murder/whatever you want to call it is not specifically delegated to the U.S. Government, I see it is a states' rights issue. But that's just me, and I'm sure several people don't agree with me(especially on this BB).

Just because I might possibly vote Democrat, Mr. Botwinick, don't assume I'm not informed.

I don't vote this year, got a few more to go, but I occasionaly watch to see whats going on.
I watched today, and one of the Democrats had some actor from hollywood encouraging people to vote for him. That REALLY turns me off.
I'm still waiting to see someone who's down to earth, and who has some morals and standards, but then again, they are after all politicians. Seems they say what the majority wants so the majority will vote for em. Prehaps I'm wrong, but that's what I see.

 

I am a very conservative guy, and I believe totally in the sanctity of human life (no, I am not anti war!!!). What I am trying to say is this:

The Democratic party platform includes abortion. As a party, the Dems are for it, fund it, support it, protect it. This being the case, I can not, will not, vote for any Democrat.

Yes, I am a Tennesseean (Go Vols!!!), but I did not vote for Gore (I am ashamed that he is from my state, even if he did invent the internet ::snicker, snicker: .

I will be voting for Bush this election, just like I did the first time, just like I did both times for his dad. I have to admire a man who is not afraid to step up adn take the shots he has taken for his choices. America has seen enough of the 'hide-and -try-to-find-me' politics in recent years.

I stand behind Bush.

This is going to be my first time voting, and I'm definitely going to vote for President Bush. Not just because my parents are Republican, but because I believe in many of the things he stands for. Plus, I would never, ever vote for a Democrat because of what they (as a party) stand for. I'm against abortion, and for war (when there needs to be war like the one with Iraq).

This will be my first opportunity to vote. I'm going to vote for President Bush. I do not agree with all his views and decisions, but he is much better than any of the Democrats. Respectfully(as possible), I dont see how Christians can vote Democrat since a vote for a Democrat is a vote for abortion(murder). Whether its a state's right or a federal issue, abortion is still wrong and voting in politicians who are for it is supporting abortion. Everyone have a nice day.

 

I am glad to see such a strong stand for Republicans. I am strongly conservative but today it looks like i'm gonna have to come to the defense of some... *sigh* democrats. I used to equate democrats=bad and republicans=good. That is true in most cases, but there are some good democrats and I could see a christian voting for them. Take Zell Miller (sen. D. Georgia) for example. This is a very conservative democrat who is trying to reform the party from the inside out. I know there is a thread on him. He is pro-life and pro tax-cuts. Another example is my congressman William Lipinski. He is also pro-life. People need to look at the person and not just the party. Don't get me wrong when I become voting age I will register as a Republican and end up voting for them 95% of the time. Just don't paint all Democrats with one broad brush
