Here's the rest of the quote:

"I know what I'm doing and I listen to a lot of people," said Trump. "But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct."

    . . .

"The fact is I was asked about going into Iraq," he said. "It was a horrible mistake. At the same time, now that you have ISIS, we have to take ISIS out. They're cutting heads. They're drowning people in cages and they're looking to do serious damage."
It will be interesting to see how Trump does after the press milks his gaff for all its worth, but Trump basically said here that he has what is expected in a President, someone who will listen to advisers, but ultimately makes his own judgments, and he cites one very critical bit of foreign policy and what his opinions at the time were.

Those who choose the president are ultimately the voters (electoral college notwithstanding). You all have opinions of foreign policy, and you will vote accordingly.

Do you have good brains? To whom have you been speaking? And are you qualified to vote?

Should those who support Israel based on Genesis 12:3 (and there's a pile of them) be banned from having a say in the choice of President?

I'll promise you, Genesis 12:3 forms the basis of Cruz's foreign policy. No matter what happens, he will not violate his notions concerning Israel.

No matter who is advising him, and no matter their sins.

Sure, while you're at it, make them wear a yellow star of David badge as well.

The extremes of Christian Zionism is not only idolatrous as concerns our religion, but treasonous for placing a foreign nation above the needs of our own country, not to mention the incredible human misery and poverty that has been brought on from their warmongering.

You think you have a good brain. You talk to a lot of people and you said some things. Do those who use that verse have a good brain?

Do people who want to impose a religious test on an individual to determine their fitness for voting have a good brain?

He most definitely shows a good brain in discerning the stupidity of the most dangerous cult in the world.

That's my point. We're judging Trump for just saying what we all think of ourselves.

Granted, he didn't say it in a politically savvy manner, but then, that seems to be his appeal. I'm waiting to see what happens.
