    False.

Jesus Christ is God and God said:

    Genesis 9:6 KJV
[6] Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

This is before the Mosaic Law.

How many times must I also quote Romans:

    Romans 13:3-4 KJV
[3] For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: [4] For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Holy Men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. the Holy
Ghost is the Spirit of Christ. Therefore Romans 13:3-4 clearly
Shows that Christ approves of the death penalty.

Of course He approved of the death penalty - He willingly subjected Himself to it.

Sick senior citizen? Practically trying to get arrested but can't? Reminds me of a certain presidential candidate.

    Wow, what a liberal interpretation.

The death penalty was imposed on Christ. That does not mean he is in favor of capital punishment.

He could have refused the sentence...

    John 10
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Capital punishment?

Actually it isn't. They continue to live and endure punishment forever.

Also, that says nothing about capital punishment on earth. Sorry, you are totally in error.

    Read you Bible and tremble.

Because he understood he was taking your place and mine. That simply means he loved us greatly. It in no way implies he approved of capital punishment.

Yes he loved us but did He ever do anything wrong?
    NO.

Therefore He approved of the Roman method of execution or he would have said STOP! I don't approve of this.

No he would not. That would have meant that he rejected the reason he came to earth. To die for you and for me. That in no way means he favored capital punishment.

Also, it would have violated the golden rule he spoke, "Do unto others what you would have them do to you."

Capital Punishment was at the digression of human government.
The Roman Government approved of capital punishment.

Luke 20:25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

Principles, sir. Your premise was that Christ does not condone capital punishment. Scripture shows that God (Christ) intends to eternally torture those who aren't found in the book of life ("torture" may be a bit strong; but here's the point: eternal punishment. And if eternal misery in a lake of fire isn't comparable to capital punishment, then we have differing views on the definition).

So now the onus is on you to show that Christ doesn't condone capital punishment. Paul, you must remember, claimed to have the revelation (Galatians 1:12), and subsequently wrote the passage regarding the government being the agent of God's wrath; AFTER Christ's death and resurrection.

Perish the thought that any should take joy from the death of criminals; but perish more so the thought that we would disobey God's Word because we prefer not to obey the "distasteful" things.

So will any "bleeding heart" liberal volunteer to put up Charles Manson for a week or two when he gets out on parole?

    Just curious.
