    Ravi Zacharias.
If you haven't heard his biblical apologetics--you don't know what you are missing. He is a very humble man too.

I was a little disappointed when I heard Max Lucado speak in front of a large group many years ago. I love his books though.

During the first half of the XXth century stores in heavily Roman Catholic countries sold toyversions of these to parents of altarboys who hoped their sons would want to become priests.

I like listening to Piper, David Jeremiah and Alistair Begg. But I've only read anything by Piper, so I'd have to vote for him to be the best speaker/writer.

After hearing him twice in chapel this year, James Merritt is quickly becoming a favorite preacher of mine.

I forgot him. I'll third him, but he's first on my list.

I believe that Perry Stone is right.
He has not said anything about the RomanCatholic Church.

Indeed, if he had he would have noticed that the notion of daily Communion has not been lost in that traditional church.

My local parish offers four masses each day. I wouldn't say it is lost, but there are certainly a lot of lukewarm christians. 6:30 am mass has about 200-250 people each day. The church holds about 450.

PS just finishing rereading Imitation of Christ awesome book, just getting to the part on communion.

Let me guess... You never noticed that the meaning of the word humanist changed dramatically between the days of Erasmus (when it simply meant scholar) and today.

Let me guess again... You did not notice that I'm not an American and simply answered the question as it pertained to my country.

As for Piper, you cured me of any interest in the fellow for the near future. I see neo-puritan theology as overrated anyway.

Let me add Dr. Ron Phillips to the list.
His book "Awakened by The Spirit" is a must read.
