No one can mind God's Law with out God . A difficult task even after Salvation Yet it does not say carnal minds cannot think on a spiritual things. The Lost can think on spiritual things. Such as Adam and Eve after they sinned. They both Spoke and answered God. So you must be wrong. Seeing as they fell before that conversation took place.

    That's exactly what it says...

    1 Corinthians 2
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

This is what Paul was referring to here Namely "THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD"

The good news is that the gospel is for the natural man to bring him to Christ. This is how a man is saved. He is not first regenerated so that He believes. The man believes so that He may be regenerated. MB

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

All unbelievers love the world, they love the things of the world and if any man lives the world the love of the Father is NOT IN HIM! Very clear answer to my statement.

John 5:42 Jesus speaking to the Pharisee's (who btw kept the commandments yet, they rejected Christ,) stated "But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you." The love of God was not in them why because of their unbelief.

Again clearly seen is my statement. Am unbeliever never has the love of God that is in them and towrad Him. Now is God's Love directed to them you bet it is for Christ was sent into this world for the salvation of all, and many will come to Him.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God's love is commended to all sinners but the love of God that we have as believers is no where in the unbeliever.

    2 Thessalnians
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

Here we see exactly who Paul was addressing, the brethren. That is the believer not the unbeliever.

2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

They were to pray for Paul and his companions but for us it applies so well we are to pray that those who serving god will be delivered from wicked men who are not believers.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

God is faithful to establish us and keep us from evil.

4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

Paul said we can as believers will do the tings commanded of us. That is service to God, Praying for others and carrying out God's will in our service as we are commanded throughout the New Testament.

5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

The Lord direct in your (bretheren) notice Paul hasn't in any of these verses changed who He is speaking to, it is the believer. God directs His Love into the the hearts of the Brethren, and into our patient wanting for the Return of Christ. Very clear he is not directing this to any unbeliever but to the brethren.

Agreed it is who Paul was speaking to
This post was an answer to a statement made from someone else concerning this verse below.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Paul was speaking to babes in Christ and natural men. Notice verse 1 of the next chapter. The same conversation is still going on.
1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
1Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
1Co 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
These Paul spoke to were just beginning to believe and were still carnal. As I see it this shows men can believe and still be with out the Holy Spirit. It also shows men must believe in Jesus first before they can begin to understand spiritual things. How they begin to believe is by being fed milk as babes the milk of the word is digestible by natural men and babes in Christ.
All men must begin to believe with the milk of the word because they can't handle the meat. The same is true in all learning processes we all begin at the beginning and grow from there.
Salvation is not instant and neither is understanding.
This verse does not prove natural men cannot understand the milk of the word.but only the deep things of God 2nd Cor 2:10.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Love of God begins in the unbeliever once he begins to believe and leads to Salvation. I began to Love Jesus when I heard of the crucifixion of Christ. The why's and, the way's they crucified Him. Convinced me that Jesus did this for me.

Paul was writing to "people who were just beginning to believe?" Either a person believes or he doesn't. That's like saying a person is "almost saved." Either he is or he isn't.

Let's look at what Paul writes in Chapter 1.

2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

    4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

Audience is Christians who do believe, who are born again, who are filled with the Love of God.

    The Parable of the Sower

    Mat 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
Mat 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Mat 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
Mat 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Mat 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Mat 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Mat 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

When the seed is first planted is when begin to believe. Sometimes that seed wilts and dies. Nothing ever comes of it. Salvation is a process it has it's beginnings just like everything else. We are first drawn, then we are convicted, conviction convinces us we are sinners and when we understand that Christ died for our sins we have started to believe. There is just one thing left and that is confession that Christ is Lord of our lives. With out which Salvation isn't present.

How do we know men are saved? We don't when they are carnally minded they sin just as well as any other sinner. Maybe even worse than some. When men first start to believe they are sure of little which is why they do not fully trust God. Are they saved or are they being saved. Paul was a wonderful Preacher but not even He knew who was saved or not. He couldn't see their hearts. There are signs of men being saved. Yet while they are living like sinners it's really hard to see them.
