Do you remember how he damned Hillary about her emails? And we know without doubt that his AOL account was hacked.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Vice President Mike Pence used a private AOL account to conduct official business in his former position as the governor of Indiana, according to public records. And at one point, the account was hacked and used to send fraudulent emails seeking money from his contacts.

Pence used the account to communicate with advisers about issues including homeland security in Indiana and the security of the gates at the governor's mansion, The Indianapolis Star reports.

The Star says it obtained 29 pages of email records from current Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb's office in response to a public records request.

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, both Pence and then-candidate Donald Trump repeatedly criticized Hillary Clinton for using a private server and private email for State Department business. Appearing on Meet the Press in September, Pence said Clinton was keeping her communications "out of the public reach, out of public accountability."

During the vice presidential debate in October, Pence alluded to the security concerns of using unofficial email systems, claiming that Clinton's email server "was subject to being hacked by foreign governments."

Pence's email was hacked before he was chosen as Donald Trump's running mate, according to the Star. His email contacts were sent emails claiming that the governor and his wife needed money and were stranded in the Philippines.

Did Pence break the law? No. Should Indiana have more stringent protocols on their government officials regarding secure lines ofcommunication? Yeah, probably so.

Other than that, you seem desperate to get something to stick on the wall, Mr Crabs.

The office of Governor is a bit different than Secretary of State. I do not see a story in this.

Well, I do. Someone else besides me still has an AOL email account.

My understanding is that neither Indiana nor Federal law was broken, so no story.

I wonder which email account has more sensitive information in it? The governor of Indiana account or the U.S. Secretary of State account?

One difference. We know that Pence's account was hacked. There is no evidence that Clinton's account was hacked.

Rather hypocritical to criticize another of doing what he was doing at the same time. It was Pence who claimed that it was a crime.

Was his account hacked? Yes, it was!

We do not know if he was dealing with top secret information or now. He did use his AOL account to discuss Homeland Security issues.

Did he criticize Hillary while at doing the same thing at the same time. This is the height of hypocrisy.

Per the article YOU posted, Homeland Security issues for Indiana.
How much "top secret" can you get in that state?
Oh, come now. He was merely passing on what he had learned from experience.

Clinton, Pence, or whoever, it seems to me like their subordinates are failing them.

I mean, if my boss told me they were going to use a personal email...I'd tell them no. And point to the official policy. And if there was no official policy, I'd write one.

Surely Indiana has an in.gov exchange server up and running by then.

You have people in high positions who are used to everyone telling them how great they are ... well they would probably fire you for telling them they are not doing what they should. Folk at that level do not take kindly to criticism even if it is constructive criticism. I saw this happen with upper management folk where I worked.

Yes, Indiana had a server up and running.

Could be a fair amount could be classified. After all it was Homeland Security.

Are you saying he is not smart enough to realized that he could not see he was doing the same as Hillary, just at a different level?

I have had email accounts where I was required to send privileged insurance company information into cyberspace to partnered clients.

However I encrypted it before sending it.

    http://openpgp.org/

Not so simple to set up but after that, piece of the proverbial cake.
It can be used across mixed platforms (ASCII <--> EBCDIC) , nice but sometimes a pain.

Question: Did Vice President Pence (then Governor) use encryption?

What classified material are you claiming Governor Pence 1) had access to, and 2) he sent over a private server?

Nobody has criticized Mrs. Clinton for using a private server. They criticized her for breaking the law by mishandling classified material and sending it over a non-secure server instead of over SIPRNet, a secure system designed for handling classified material up through the SECRET level or JWICS which is used for Top Secret communications.

So, what classified material are you accusing then Governor Pence of sending on a non-secure server?

You specifically said "top secret." There are different levels of classification. If you actually just meant "classified," then you're guilty of histrionics and trying to capitalize on the ignorance of others when you previously used "top secret."

No; I'm making a point about your insistence to put this at the same level as Hillary's indiscretion.

    Curiosity is one thing.

Jurisdictional Laws governing a President of a nation and Jurisdictional Laws governing a Governor of a sovereign state is quite another thing.
