    Yikes.

What I find ( as no surprise to me ) is that, in my opinion, much of what she said rang true.
I realize that it's a parody ( and I don't agree with such things ), but I've watched politics all my life...and the Democratic Party is the most "liberal", in my estimation.

I don't vote anymore since being convinced that I'm only a sojourner in this world ( It's not my world, I'm just passing through :Smile ), but in the past when I did vote, I voted Republican. Christ isn't reigning on His earthly father David's throne at Jerusalem right now, and there's only two parties that I felt even stood a chance of being voted into office in the United States, so I chose the lesser of two that could make things worse ( morally and fiscally ) than they already are.

Mainly all I do now is to seek peace, work quietly and eat my bread ( 2 Thessalonians 3:1-13 ), knowing that God will put the people into office that He wants ( Daniel 2:20-21, Daniel 4:35 ).
I also know that many believers were praying in the last election that a 3rd term for the Democrats would not come true...and against all obvious ( to me ) indications, it didn't.:Speechless

I thanked and praised Him for the brief respite on both my wallet, and my soul's vexation.:Sick

I also know that the U.S. would be harder to live in for believers in Christ, if the Democrats ( and others ) have their way.:Cautious
Money for social programs has to come from somewhere, and the United States is already in public debt that is in excess of its GDP, and nearly 11 times that of its current Congressional budget.

If I were voting, I would vote for people who would pay that debt down and clamp down on the things Christ would.

I see a day coming that involves "thought police", jail time for those who speak God's truth, and much more...as I see it, it's already been like that in Southeast Asia, China, Russia and other places for many decades, and has been creeping its way into North America and Europe for the past 20-30 years or so.

    May God bless you.:)

The 2 party system has failed.

The "tares" have infiltrated both sides of the aisle.

The Democrats have allowed the radicals among them to tear down our republic.
Apart from President Trump the Republicans are asleep at the helm.

    My opinion.

Socialism has worked wherever it has been tried: Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba.

    Watch the video.

    Gents,
I just live here in the U.S. of A, have done time in Uncle Sam's Navy, and seen quite a bit on my travels around the country and in my college days learning about the early years of it.

I know it doesn't work very well, and I know why. ;)

But one thing I've become aware of over the course of the lat 40 years as a believer, is that the powers that be are ordained of God ( Romans 13:1 ) and they will have to answer for how they've managed what they were given.
I also know that I wouldn't want to be them.:(

In the mean time, I will do my best to remember these:

" Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 for he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore [ye] must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour."
    ( Romans 13:1-7 )

    " Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 as free, and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17 Honour all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."
    ( 1 Peter 2:13-17 )

In years past, I shared my take on all things political, but then it occurred to me...
How did Paul respond to those in authority?
    Peter?

    Jesus?
Did He speak up about the wrongs of the government, in opposition to Caesar and Rome?

" And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him." ( Mark 12:17 )

    No, he didn't.
    Not a word.

Paul responded to it the way God wanted him to as well, and probably not the way he may have wanted to otherwise.

Yes, I admit to wanting to change things for the better, but to me, the Lord can do a perfect job...until then, as long as men are in charge of things down here, they will have to answer for it, and I will have to do my best to live with it.:Whistling
I have to tell myself that it's only a very short while, and He is coming again.:Cool

With that, I take my leave of this thread, and may God bless you all.:)

The orange trees on Mars prove Bill Nye the Science Guy was right that we all came from Mars.
