Yeshua1 Said: he did not say faith and love!

    Galatians 5

6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

Of course biggots who think they are chosen superior race chosen ect. would disagree.

    James2 is clear:
18 But some one will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder. 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? 22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works, 23 and the scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness”; and he was called the friend of God. 24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.

24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

It seems there are two different works in dispute here (works in faith) which are one and are spiritual ,done by the spiritual man. Works( of the flesh) which are done in the flesh by an unsaved man, like atheist ,Christ rejecting Jews, pagans. Those works, no matter how good they appear, can not save you if you have no faith in Christ. Hence,26 For as the body apart from the spirit (Christ the life giving spirit) is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.
So why do you faith alone people use the flesh works scriptures against the faith work ones? Shouldn't you have the spirit of discernment? If your work (preaching) is spiritual and not based upon the flesh why don't you get it? " I am the light of the world". "Those who believe in me will have life".

What is this New Creation what is the New Man, the former who worked according to the flesh, or works according to the living, life giving Spirit
    1 Corinthians 15 :45
45So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
    Children of God 1John 3:1-3
1Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 2Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. 3And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure.…

    You are God's Temple 1 Corinthians3:15-17
15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames. 16Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.…

Yes there are flesh works, but the new man's works are faith and works and they are One as God is one. It would seem many think in all actuality , they ARE NOT BORN AGAIN. This is a natural state of all Christians a process in growth to full restoration to the renewal of the mind.

This isn't ut's first interaction on the BB.

But my question has to do with the Scriptures. Can an evil tree bring forth good fruit? What did Jesus say?

Of course the answer is no. An evil tree cannot bring forth good fruit. So how can a corrupt soul bring forth the "good work of faith" that you imagine?

    He can't.

So what is the source of one's faith? What saith the bigoted Paul? By grace through faith are ye saved, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

You brought nothing to your first birth except your corruption, What do you bring to your second one?

Well, it is clear what James2 says:

So there has to be something wrong with people's interpretation of this.

    Alive with Christ Ephesians
…7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast.…

The grace is Christ(8For it is by grace you have been saved through FAITH, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,)
Grace is a gift of God and that grace is Jesus Christ the faith and works I believe the OP addresses is that which accepts Jesus.
The , (and not by works) is the flesh works which are not in Jesus through accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and savior , the Faith and Works James speaks of. These two can not be separated they are one as God is one. If our works outside of Christ could save us then one could boast. As it is however, no one is without sin and all fall short of the Glory of God. This is why God had to give GRACE : 7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us(in Christ Jesus). That is essential to the FAITH AND WORKS discussion we are having and what the OP addresses with the question. That is why Abraham was justified by works , his faith was active along with his works when he was willing to offer up his Son Issac . This he did according to God's request. That is what a believe does when they say yes to Christ. One who does all his works outside of the first commandment :Hear O' Israel , love the Lord your God only, with all your heart , with all your strength and with all your mind. Though shalt not have strange god's before me". If you do not accept Christ who are you accepting? That is why Christ says those who do not accept him are not Jews but are the synagogue of satan who call themselves Jews. They are not if they reject Christ. Their works are done in the flesh, not by faith in Christ. All works outside of Christ are works of the flesh.

The scriptures do not and can not contradict one another.
Just because you choose to ignore ,what one part of the written word says does not mean James is not true. I do not see certain people in here even looking at James but ignoring. Why because it does not serve their indoctrinated narrative. They ignore then put completely different scripture against what James is saying.

Those improper uses of scripture , means people do not get it. Therefore, creates division and strife among brethren.

To the rest, what does it mean that Abraham was justified by works? It does not mean that he had anything to add to his faith, for the just will live by faith. Not faith and works.

Justified means proven. It means if faith is real, then good works will result, like fire results in smoke. Smoke doesn't fuel the fire, nor can it in any way add to the fire's efficacy. It's just there. You know there is fire because of the smoke. (And if you want to get technical, you know what's burning by the kind of smoke and color of the flame.) Christ used the word 'justify' in the same sense in Matthew 12:37. We know what is in a man's heart by his speech.

Carnal minds have wrested this Scripture since it was first penned, and hellish tongues have set the course of nature on fire with the blasphemous notion that one's works has anything to do at all with one's acceptance. It is all the work of Christ, and only His work. Don't smear His work with your filthy rags.

Keep in mind, the root bears the branch, and you are carried into the Holiest of All on the breastplate of your High Priest.

Before the Throne of God above,
I have a strong and perfect plea,
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know while in Heav'n He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

I am not quite sure what hellish tongues you are speaking of. I know St. James' tongue was not on fire with a hellish fire. I mean you are putting poetry and music not scripture against what James has said in his woks of faith (what he writes).
Ephesians is clear, this is work of the flesh outside of faith that it addresses. The scriptures are one as God is,faith and works are one as God is. Hear O Israel the Lord our God is ONE.
Post whatever you want the scriptures have spoken.

The hellish tongue is the one that professes that something must be added to faith. That's not what James was saying. It's what you're saying.

Oh okay, yeah I know it. NOT! Abraham was justified because his work was done according to his faith . he was a FRIEND TO GOD because he believed and that is contributed to him as righteousness. Are you saying we are not justified by our works of faith? if so I can see why no demon trembles when people like you speak. The scriptures are clear go about whatever your business is , but rejecting truth is the first hellish flame your tongue has claimed.

I am right and only a blind man can not see that .

The Light of the Gospel 2Corinthians 4:2-4
…2Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.…

The god of this age blinds you. You divide the scriptures like dividing Christ's garments . I do not therefore I am right. For a house divided can not stand. If the scriptures were able to be divided through outward contradictions the faith would be a shame. Maybe you hope that. But I know they can not , do not and are only divided through FALSE UNDERSTANDING AND INTERPRETATION that the unstable accept. I am stable and will not be defiled by women (false churches) Rev.14.

Lol. Christ said an evil tree cannot bring forth good fruit, but you say an evil tree can bring forth good fruit in his own faith and choice. I'll go with Jesus on this one.

You will go with the name of Jesus in order to malign it you however, are not within Him nor is He within you. You are the evil tree.

A Tree and its Fruit Matthew 7:21-23
…21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’…
Teach against not according to the laws of God. The scriptures can not be divided. May God deal with you.

You can fight with the Lord about.
Matthew 7:15-20 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)
    A Tree and Its Fruit
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. 18 A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will know them by their fruits.
You have followed a false doctrine , you teach a false doctrine . Have at it, your choice.
Those of Christ listen ti His voice and it is by His Holy Spirit that the scriptures are known. Again have at it , knock yourself out.
You have your design in purpose and gather to yourself all that what you are.
    Romans 9:13-23
13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

19Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

". . . For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? . . ." -- 1 John 5:4-5.

". . . He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. . . ." -- Revelation 21:7-8.

". . . Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heavenn. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. . . ." -- Matthew 7:21-23.

". . . For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. . . ." Ephesians 2:8-10.

". . . Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. . . ." -- James 2:24.

Abraham was justified by his works (Genesis 22:12) some 50 years after he was justified through faith (Genesis 15:6) without works.

". . . But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. . . ." -- Romans 4:5.
