If you want to define "laid down His life" as not meaning He died physically for us, I think you are mistaken.

Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon offers insight on The use of this word in Isaiah 53:12, noting that the “soul” or “life” being ‘poured out’ in “inasmuch as it departs with the effused blood”.
If the lexicon is correct, then Isa 53:12 is not a statement about Jesus soul departing, but a prophecy that his life will end in exsanguination (bleeding out).

I would really like to see this imaginary dictionary from biblical times which gives different meanings of words You see only a dictionary from the time of Jesus would be proof they had different meanings. There simply is no such thing. These extra meanings have been added from newer dictionaries of the Greek spoken today.

Hi MB, many Greek words has a range of meanings. That is one of the reasons why you see the same Greek word translated into several different English words. Stop by a Christian book store, and pick up an Exhaustive Concordance. It will show you that many different English words are used to translate the same Greek word.
Recently we dealt with a Greek word that almost always means "do, did, does" but also means "make or made." And infrequently may mean appoint or designate or declare something to be something. And in at least one case (Luke 2:48) means "treated." So we had at least 4 different meanings based on context, for the same Greek word.

H5315 is a reference to a HEBREW word, not a GREEK word. As I identified in the post, it is the Hebrew word “נֶפֶשׁ” ... a word which appears 735 times in the Hebrew Concordance of the KJV. I simply listed verses where the EXACT SAME HEBREW WORD (נֶפֶשׁ) was translated into different English words and phrases by the translators of the KJV Bible.
Strong and his reference work had nothing to do with it. He just provided a convenient shorthand for identifying the word in the original (Textus Receptus if I remember my KJV history correctly).
