A good enough reason to not believe Calvin

    Nobody liked the cat when he was alive. People hated him, and not because he was so full of the truth and they were so bad. He made life nearly intolerable for them. He imposed rules like the number of housewares, he even had a boy put in stocks for being rebellious against his parents.
    Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Where John Calvin lived, there was fear, and a high possibility of death if you disagreed with him.
    He would be a tyrrant despot today.

    As a Christian, I want to be remembered for my kindness, not my doctrine. Nobody liked him. Nobody wrote of him as a kind, humble person.

    Israel in the pagan desert, roam,ing around with the high possiblity of being killed, and being a magistrate in a country that was already Christian for a thousand years are two different things.
    And we are under the new covenant, unless closet Judaizers like Calvin have convinced you otherwise.
