When Does God Send People Strong Delusions To Believe Lies?

    AMEN! Thankyou. The false Gospel of "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" tries to separate God' Law from Grace when it is the very Law of God that brings us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25

    This is the purpose of God's LAW in the Gospel. It teacher us that we are all sinners in need of a Savior that we might be justified by Faith.

    * IF there is NO LAW then we have no KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is (NO TEACHER, SCHOOLMASTER)
    * IF we have no KNOWLEDGE of SIN we do not KNOW that we are all sinners in need of a Savior.
    * IF we have no need of a Savior then we have no Salvation.
    * If we have no Salvation then we are all lost because we are still in our sins and the scripture is fulfilled

    ROMANS 3:12-13 [12], For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; [13], For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

    God's LAW is our TEACHER that gives us a KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is and lead us to Christ that we might be justified by FAITH.
    Gods Word is the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST the living Word of God and I BELIEVE and FOLLOW it. What sin do you convict me of that needs repentance? Or are these your words denying Gods Word in order to justify your working and breaking Gods 4th Commandment Sabbath after you have been given a knowledge of the truth *ACTS 17:30-31; HEBREWS 10:26-39? No one claims Gods promises or do they know God or do they have Gods salvation while practicing sin (breakin Gods law) *1 JOHN 2:3-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10; HEBREWS 10:26-39.

    You shall know them by their fruits...

    Are you really interested in correcting this? I dare say you do not understand the reasons those who hold such a "wrong" view believe the word of God teaches it.

    I can make a list of Scriptures which give those who believe that "wrong" do so.

    Here is one case verse:
    Hebrews 10:17
    ". . . And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. . . ."

    Yes, there is a context. But that verse has within it a reason. It has in it a Greek phrase translated "no." Which is can be understood to mean "not in any way." . . . ου μη . . .

    For every scripture you provide I can show you through Gods Word alone why it does not say or teach "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" Fow example the scripture you quote in HEBREWS 10:17 is in reference to God's ISRAEL referenced from *JEREMIAH 31:31-34 also repeated in HEBREWS 8:10-12. Gods ISRAEL in the new Covenant are all those who "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GOD'S WORD * EPHESIANS 2:11-13; GALATIANS 3:28-29; ROMANS 9:6-8; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 3:11. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the NEW COVENANT *HEBREWS 10:26-27. Gentiles are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27. So the promise here are to those who are "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD".

    God's Word (not mine) "WARNS" BELIEVERS not to "FALL AWAY" and "DEPART THE FAITH" in HEBREW 6:4-8 and HEBREWS 10:26-39 These scrptures show that these "WARNINGS" are to "BELIEVERS" not to "FALL AWAY" and "DEPART THE FAITH" in HEBREW 6:4-8 and HEBREWS 10:26-39 are references to those who were "ONCE BELIEVERS" that departed the faith to live a life of known unrepentant sin as stated in HEBREWS 10:26 "For if we (believers) sin willfully after we (believers) receive a knowledge of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of judgement to come.

    "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" is not biblical. Only those who endure temptation to the end "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD" receive everlasting life. All of Gods promises from GENESIS to REVELATION and Gods salvation are "CONDITIONAL" on "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD".

    You are not understand. There are two types of forgiveness. revokable, Matthew 18:32 - Matthew 18:35. And the irrevokable Hebrews 10:16-18.

    Greek phrase translated "no." Which is can be understood to mean "not in any way." . . . ου μη . . .

    I understand very well by God's Spirit thank you brother. What you are quoting from in the scriptures provided to you agrees with "ου μη". It is the application of who it applies to that your not understanding. All of Gods promises from GENESIS to REVELATION and Gods salvation are "CONDITIONAL" on "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD". The application is to those who are believing and following Gods Word to the end *JAMES 1:12.

    Gods Word warns believers can "FALL AWAY" and "DEPART THE FAITH" in HEBREWS 10:26-39 with application to those who were "ONCE BELIEVERS" who departed the faith to live a life of known unrepentant sin as stated in HEBREWS 10:26 "For if we (believers) sin willfully after we (believers) receive a knowledge of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of judgement to come.

    This demonstrates the application of salvation and Gods promises are "CONDITIONAL" on "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD". If the scripture teach we can leave or depart the faith to become "UNBELIEVERS" than it also proves that "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" is a false teaching and is not biblical.

    Simple. God deals with all people the exact same way. Those who soften their hearts are able to hear the gospel, but those who continue to harden their own hearts, will not. God does not show partiality with anyone (Deut 10:17; 2 Chr 19:7; Acts 10:34, Rom 2:11; Gal 2:6; Eph 6:9; Col 3:25; 1 Pet 1:17).

    There is forgivness under the OC, Matthew 18:32; Matthew 18:35. Then there is non reversable forgiveness under tbe NC, Hebrews 10:16-17. Where the Greek indicating this is the "ου μη."

    God's "FORGIVENESS" is "CONDITIONAL" on "BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING GODS WORD" in the "present tense" to "BELIEVING" or continuing to believe *JOHN 3:15-21; MATTHEW 7:24-27; 1 JOHN 2:3-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10; JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27.

    All those who do not "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GODS WORD (present tense)" do not have Gods forgiveness *HEBREWS 10:26-39; 1 JOHN 1:9; 1 JOHN 2:3-4.

    The Greek indicating "ου μη" is only in reference to those who "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GODS WORD (present tense)" It is not in reference to those who do not "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GODS WORD" or to those who "BELIEVED AND FOLLOWED GODS WORD (past tense)" yesterday and have departed the faith to no longer "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GODS WORD" today *HEBREWS 6:4-8; HEBREWS 10:26-39.

    I never said I "practiced" sin, (1 John 3:9) yet I don't claim to be sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, 100% of the time either. Do you claim to be sinless, 100% of the time? (1 John 1:8-10)

    I am not an Israelite under the law, so I am not obligated to keep the sabbath day under the Mosaic law. (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; Deuteronomy 5:15; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 9:13; 10:31) We are now under the new covenant. Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. :)

    Once again, oh the irony. The scriptures that you cite to condemn others actually condemn you.

    Matthew 7:21 - Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. *John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. These many people (unbelievers) in Matthew 7:22 had the wrong foundation. They were trusting in their works to save them and NOT IN CHRIST ALONE. *Sound familiar? ;) Jesus NEVER knew them which means they were NEVER saved. Their hearts were not right with God, so their "attempted external obedience" (apart from the righteousness of God which is by faith and the blood of Christ) was stained with sin. *Seeking salvation by works is not the will of the Father. You need to wake up before it's too late! REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

    John 17:3 - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him, not merely theoretical knowledge. These many people were not true converts. *Without faith it's impossible to please God no matter how many alleged wonderful works that these many people set out to conjure up through the flesh in a vain effort to obtain salvation based on their works. This is why Jesus referred to these many people as "workers of iniquity." God does not see the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus (Romans 4:5-6; Philippians 3:9) when he looks at unbelievers, but instead, He see's all of their sins which still remain and have not been washed away by the blood of Christ.

    Believers are under the new covenant and not the law of Moses. You seem to have more faith in the 4th commandment to save you than you do in Jesus to save you. How tragic! As I previously mentioned, references for the moral aspect of 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated under the new covenant, yet the command to keep the Sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the new covenant (Colossians 2:16-17) so your false accusation holds no merit.

    1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
    2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
    3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - 1 Timothy 6:1; James 2:7; James 5:12
    4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
    5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
    6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
    7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
    8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
    9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
    10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

    The law on our heart and mind is the love of the Spirit, not the law of the letter. This is why Paul tells us that the new covenant is a covenant of the Spirit, and not of the letter. "No one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins." (Luke 5:37-38).

    I understand what keep, guard, observe, watch over means and it does not mean sinless perfection or salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works."

    It's you who is confused and I don't deny the words of Jesus. On those two commandments does hang all the law and the prophets, yet that still does not change the fact that the old covenant has been made obsolete by the new covenant. (Hebrews 8:13) The whole SDA sales pitch is all about obtaining salvation based on the merits of obeying all ten commandments from the old testament (with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment).

    So have you PERFECTLY obeyed ALL ten commandments and do you believe that will receive eternal life based on the merits of your performance? Obviously you do because all you talk about is the 10 commandments with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment. You have some major self righteous issues and fail to acknowledge your complete need for Jesus Christ to save you.

    The new covenant is not the Mosaic law repackaged and where does John say "10 Commandments" in 1 John 2:3-4? He doesn't. You still have not made the transition from the old covenant into the new covenant. You are still under the law and those who are under the law are under a curse. (Galatians 3:10)

    You pervert the gospel then have the audacity to judge me? Your fruits have been obvious for all to see on the Baptistboard. You are not fooling us and you are also not my judge.

    You are not a lawyer or a psychiatrist, so enough with the deceit, rhetoric, sugar coated double talk, psycho analysis and propaganda. What's sad for you is that you have been completely brain washed by a dangerous cult and are completely clueless about your status. Let me know when you are ready to REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.     If this (Col. 2:16) is really the "strongest verse refuting" I would hope you consider what I am about to share on it, since the Bible warns us taking a single verse from its context. Please consider prayerfully (my short, brief study, as I have a much longer (approximately 33 pages) version as needful):

    Colossians 2 KJB (citing Ezekiel 45:17 KJB), parallels Ephesians 2 KJB, and Hebrews 9-10 KJB. The language is the same. The "ordinances" in Colossians 2 deals with "shadows", such as the daily "meat and drink" offerings of a worldly sanctuary and carnal ordinances, the seasonal "feast days", the monthly "new moons", and the year based "sabbaths", in the singular, every 7 and 50th years, as Paul is citing Psalms 98:1-3; and Ezekiel 45:17 KJB with other texts.

    The Sabbath of the LORD thy God is always called "my [as in God's] sabbaths", and the others in Leviticus 23:4 onward are called "your [the peoples] sabbaths" [Leviticus 26:35 KJB] which are "beside [given in addition to] the sabbaths of the LORD" [Leviticus 23:38 KJB]. The Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath of the 4th Commandment, are "light" [Proverbs 6:23, Isaiah 8:20, 51:4 KJB], never a "shadow", are "spiritual" [Romans 7:14 KJB], never "carnal" [Hebrews 9:10 KJB].

    Colossians 2:14 - "ordinances"
    Ephesians 2:15 - "law of commandments contained in ordinances"
    Hebrews 9:1 - "ordinances of divine service"
    Hebrews 9:10 - "carnal ordinances"

    Colossians 2:16 - "in meat, or in drink" [offerings]
    Hebrews 9:10 - "meats and drinks" [offerings]

    Colossians 2:12 - "also ye are risen with him"
    Ephesians 2:6 - "raised us up together"

    Colossians 2:16 - "a shadow of things to come"
    Ephesians 2:7 - "in the ages to come"
    Hebrews 9:11 - "of good things to come"
    Hebrews 10:1 - "the law having a shadow of good things to come", "those sacrifices", "offered year by year"

    [ps. none of the Ten Commandments deal with carnal sacrifices]

    it speaks of plural, "sabbath days" (or 'of sabbaths'). The context, is also not concerned with all 'sabbaths' but is limited in scope, to that which is "shadow" (not light, not body or substance), that which is "of things to come" (type pointing to the future events) and of "ordinances", as follows.

    [1] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, of Creation (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11), was given to mankind (Adam) before the sin of mankind (Mark 2:27), before the need of shadow and type, which were given after the sin of mankind, under the Levitical priesthood.

    [2] The Sabbath of the LORD the God, is a memorial (pointing backwards, thu the words "Remember" (Exodus 20:8)), to a perfect world without sin, perfect relationship, perfect rest), and is not pointing to the future.

    [3] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, is singular and specific. "The seventh day" "the sabbath" "of the LORD thy God".

    Exodus 20:8 KJB - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
    Exodus 20:9 KJB - Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
    Exodus 20:10 KJB - But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

    [4] The Sabbath of the LORD is separate from the yearly festal sabbaths, as denoted in Leviticus 23 (see Leviticus 23:3; then see Leviticus 23:4,38 "beside the sabbaths of the LORD")

    [5] The Sabbath of the LORD thy God, is called "the sabbath of the LORD" (Exodus 20:8-11, etc), and "My sabbaths" (Isaiah 56:4; Ezekiel 20:20), as opposed to theirs, called "your sabbaths" (Leviticus 26:34,35), and "her sabbaths" (Leviticus 26:34,43; 2 Chronicles 26:31; Lamentations 1:7; Hosea 2:11), etc.

    [6] Colossians 2, in its entire context says nothing about "the seventh day", but speaks of merely the shadow sabbaths (plural, not singular), and says nothing of "commandment" (as Luke 23:54,56 does), but speaks of worldly "ordinances" (Colossians 2:14,20).

    [7] Colossians 2, speaks of "sins" (Colossian 2:13), which is "transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4), of which the 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) is central, whereas the yearly (and of years) sabbaths are not given in the Ten Commandments at all

    More can be said, but 7 was a good number to round it off at this point, more in detail in a bit.

    Paul was citing Ezekiel 45:17:

    Eze 45:17 And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

    Read Ezekiel 45 in all of its context,

    Eze_45:14 Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer:

    etc.

    Paul's use of Ezekiel 45:17 is in both places contextual to "ordinances", and "shadow", and elsewhere "carnal" and "worldly" (Ephesians 2 and Hebrews 9-10).

    Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

    Therefore, it is not all "sabbaths". It is limited to Paul's citation, and use.

    Interestingly enough Albert Barnes, a noted Bible Commentator, states on Colossians 2:16, on the word “sabbatwn”:

    “... Or of the Sabbath days - Greek, “of the Sabbaths.” The word Sabbath in the Old Testament is applied not only to the seventh day, but to all the days of holy rest that were observed by the Hebrews, and particularly to the beginning and close of their great festivals. There is, doubtless, reference to those days in this place, since the word is used in the plural number, and the apostle does not refer particularly to the Sabbath properly so called. There is no evidence from this passage that he would teach that there was no obligation to observe any holy time, for there is not the slightest reason to believe that he meant to teach that one of the ten commandments had ceased to be binding on mankind. If he had used the word in the singular number - “the Sabbath,” it would then, of course, have been clear that he meant to teach that that commandment had ceased to be binding, and that a Sabbath was no longer to be observed. But the use of the term in the plural number, and the connection, show that he had his eye on the great number of days which were observed by the Hebrews as festivals, as a part of their ceremonial and typical law, and not to the moral law, or the Ten Commandments. No part of the moral law - no one of the ten commandments could be spoken of as “a shadow of good things to come.” These commandments are, from the nature of moral law, of perpetual and universal obligation. ...” - Albert Barnes, Colossians 2:16 Commentary.     Hmmm, the Sabbath commandment and keeping it holy in the NT (as the OT), doesn't seem all that hard to find:

    Act 13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

    So from these texts cited, we clearly see that "the sabbath" is still the 7th day of the week in the NT, and hasn't changed a bit. Luke, under inspiration of the Holy Ghost, years after the ascension of Jesus still records as such.

    In connecting Acts 18:4, to Acts 18:11,

    Act 18:11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

    We see that Paul "... reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath ...", for a "year and six months", which would be about 78 Sabbaths (52 weeks per year, thus 52 (1 Year) + 26 (6 Months)). Could the Latin 'Vulgate' of Jerome be trying to hide this fact by having vs 4 "non-existent" (even though the Douay Rheims has the verse)?

    Never the less, those are very few of the scriptures in the NT. What we share are these:

    Paul:

    So, what Paul was doing, was what Jesus already did. So in preaching the Gospel as Jesus did (citing Isaiah 61:1 in Luke 4:18-19), Paul is following his Master and Lord of the Sabbath - Jesus.

    Was Jesus keeping Sabbath in so doing? Yes, Jesus said so Himself:

    Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

    So, what was Paul doing then, in preaching the Gospel to Jews and Gentiles? Keeping God's commandments, while preaching the Gospel just as Jesus.

    There are some who like to pretend that when Paul went to the synagogue on the sabbath and preached the Gospel (just as Jesus did), that Paul wasn't keeping the sabbath, and preached against keeping it. Does that sound like following Jesus to you? Does that sound like Paul to you?

    Rom_3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

    Rom_6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

    Makes me wonder what happens when such people get a gift of "His" and "Her" towels. Or see a blue door that leads to a rest area and one says, "His", and another "Hers". Do they confuse those as much as this?

    That is because most of the "churches" teach their (10C) transgression is no big deal, and moreso in regards the 4th commandment than any other. (as you do in every place you go). It also needs to be emphasized because this generation has forgotten their Creator and teach secularism, atheism, deism, agnosticism, "I AMism", and all else:

    Ecc_12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

    Hence, the memorial, if mankind had kept in God's grace, there never would have been such things as an atheist:

    Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
    Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

    Here are some of the passages that speak of the New Covenant (also called the Everlasting Covenant, the covenant of life and peace, and the counsel of peace), that Seventh-day Adventists proclaim to the world. Genesis 3:15,22, 22:18, 26:4; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 11:19-20, 18:31, 36:25-29, 37:26-28; Zechariah 6:13; Malachi 2:5; Gospels (Last supper, blood of the new testament) 2 Corinthians 3:1-18; Hebrews 8:6-13, 10:16.

    The "new" Covenant existed before (even from eternity, between the Father and the Son, witnessed by the Holy Ghost) the 'old', but the 'old' was ratified with "blood" (Ezekiel 24:8) before the "new" (Hebrews 12:24; 1 Peter 1:2), and thus the 'old' was said to be 'first' (Hebrews 8:13), though in actuality it was presented after.

    Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

    Gen_18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

    Yes, Abraham taught his children and grandchildren the Ten Commandments of God. For He spake face to face with Jesus and talked with him as with a friend, and was known, as Moses, as the friend of God.

    Jesus said the same:

    Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

    To begin with, Jesus Christ is the true Israel, the anti-type, the Israel that is not the type as Jacob was.

    Jesus is Israel (Matthew 2:13-15; Hosea 11:1; his children are his disciples; Hebrews 2:13; Isaiah 8:16,18; John 13:33), the true "overcomer" (John 16:33; Revelation 3:21), the real "Prince" with God (Isaiah 9:6; Daniel 8:11,25, 9:25, 10:13,21, 11:22, 12:1; Acts 3:15, 5:31; Revelation 1:5), being Lord over His own house, whose house are we (Psalms 98:3; Hebrews 3:6; Jeremiah 31:33), who himself is the "elect" (Isaiah 42:1; Matthew 12:18; 1 Peter 2:6) of the Father, in whom all the promises of God find their realization (2 Corinthians 1:20). The promises made by God were all based upon condition (Exodus 19).

    'Israel' "after the flesh", as a 'nation', is left desolate (Matthew 23:38; Luke 13:35), to bear no more fruit ever again (Matthew 21:19), cursed, withered away (Mark 11:21), dried up from the roots (Mark 11:20), "twice dead" (Jude 1:12), and the axe already laid at their root (Matthew 3:10; Luke 3:9), cut down and to be thrown into the fire.

    The New [or Everlasting] Covenant is only made with the spiritual “Israel” (Jesus Christ, the "elect" of the Father; Isaiah 42:1; Matthew 12:18-20), this “Judah” (Revelation 5:5) and His “house” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJB - For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.; – for Christ Jesus, the true “Israel” is the “elect” of God, and thus all who choose to be in Him; see Isaiah 42:1, 45:4, 65:9 KJB):

    Hebrews 3:6 KJB - But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

    Isaiah 42:1 KJB - Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

    Hebrews 8:5 KJB - Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

    Hebrews 8:6 KJB - But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

    Hebrews 8:7 KJB - For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

    Hebrews 8:8 KJB - For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

    [see Exodus 19:3-8 KJB, for the 'old covenant' is never, in all of scripture [KJB], the Ten Commandments [the perfect, righteousness, spiritual, holy, just and good and eternal Law of God; Psalms 19:7; Romans 9:31; Romans 7:14; James 1:25; Psalms 119:44-45; Romans 7:12; Psalms 89:34; Exodus 20:1-17, especially Exodus 20:8, “holy”, see Isaiah 58:13; 2 Peter 3:2 KJB], but was always the faulty promises of the peoples Israel after the flesh, made in agreement to do all that the LORD says. They failed. Why? Works and no Faith [Romans 9:32 KJB]. They [in general] attempted without God's strength [Revelation 12:10-12; Romans 5:6; 1 Corinthians 1:24 KJB], and though they were free physically, they were still slaves spiritually, that is of the heart and mind: 'all that the LORD hath said we will do', their faulty promises, and yet they did not, for they sinned by the golden calf.

    The Everlasting Covenant (Galatians 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man's covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.)

    This New/Everlasting/Eternal Covenant [which existed before the 'old', even from eternity, for the Father and Son clasped hands in agreement, the Holy Ghost as Witness, should [when] sin [the mystery of iniquity] arise, they would work out the plan of Redemption, thus it is “the everlasting covenant” or the covenant of life and peace, or the counsel of peace, ratified by the blood of the Son of God Himself and by the Father in Heaven, see Psalms 89:3,28,34, 105:8; Isaiah 13:12, 42:6; Malachi 2:5 [Jesus is the True Levi, meaning attached unto His Father], 3:1; John 19:30 [he finished laying the foundation, the words were unto His Father], 17:24 [the agreement in eternity past was made, Jesus kept His word, performed His vows, and now the promise from the Father was to be fulfilled]; John 3:16; John 19:28; Hebrews 13:20; Revelation 13:8; Psalms 40:7-8; Hebrews 10:7-9; Psalms 116:14-18; Ezekiel 38:23; John 17:19; John 10:18; 8:28; Psalms 110:4; Zechariah 6:13, etc., etc. for surely as the Rainbow is above God's throne, so the covenant between Father and Son, witnessed by the Holy Ghost, is eternal], made between the Father and the Son in eternity, witnessd by the Holy Ghost, was “confirmed” [“he shall confirm the covenant with many” Daniel 9:27 and "confirmed" at the first by Jesus [Hebrews 2:3; Romans 15:8] and afterward by the disciples for the remaining time] by Jesus Christ, and was mentioned at the "Last Supper" [what we would call Thursday night] [“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:28; see also Mark 14:24 “my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many” and also Luke 22:20 “cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you” and also 1 Corinthians 11:24 “This cup is the new testament in my blood”], and thus was ratified by the shed blood of Jesus at Calvary and thus by His death [Psalms 116:14,18, and ratified by the Father upon His ascension, Psalms 61:5], which means that nothing may be removed [Luke 23:56, "Sabbath (the 7th day; God's rest) according to the commandment"] and nothing may be added ["first" [day], cannot be added, as it is far too late from Calvary] once confirmed by the death [on what we would call Friday afternoon] of the Testator - Christ Jesus [Hebrews 10:29].

    The only way to change/ratify the Covenant would be for Christ Jesus to die again [Hebrews 9:16-17] and shed additional blood [Hebrews 12:4]. And we know that Christ Jesus "once for all" [Hebrews 10:10] paid the redemption price and "dieth no more" [Romans 6:9], and is "alive for evermore" [Revelation 1:18].] is God's, “I will ...”, His Promise; more on this in detail later, as needed. The 'old covenant' is not the same as God's 'my covenant', which we establish by Faith [Romans 3:31 KJB]. They are two things, not one. God's Ten Commandments are all perfect promises, without fault.]

    The "New" Covenant was 'ratified' by the blood of Christ Jesus, who fulfilled His vows, His side of the covenant.

    Psa_116:14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
    Psa_116:18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

    It was 'ratified' by the Father after Christ Jesus ascended the first time, and accepted the Selfless Sacrifice of the Son.
