How Many Times Have You Been Saved?

I am saved, I am being saved and I will be saved.

 

Uh... I choose option six, just once, though I've been baptized twice (once was Church of Christ), raised my hands a slew of times (as in the, "I see that hand back there. God bless you! You're saved!" type of raising hands), said a multitude of sinner's prayers, and even had a Charismatic lay hands on me for receiving the Holy Spirit. You might say I've run the gamut.

I wonder if anybody on this board will answer more than 1.

I'm saying that the majority of the times I did something (prayer, raising hands, etc.), I was already saved because I already had faith in the saving death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, the Gospel, whether I understood that at the time or not. So I was only saved once, despite my best efforts.

Funny, in some churches they sing that song, Ye must be born again............and to make a little rythm they add,,,Ye must be born again and again ye must be born again...I always smile when I hear it.

As Matt said, "I am saved,,I am being saved and I will be ultimately saved."

I hope to be saved, but I am saved already. Hows that?

 

i dont think its possible to lose your salvation.

i do believe that people can think they have salvation, when they really don't truthfully.

 

I once was saved from drowning. I was once saved from doing bad in school by my dad holding me accountable. I am saved by Christ's sacrifice for me.

 

If I am saved then I was saved only once. There is no test for salvation except to continue "fighting the good fight."

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.

 

To the person who says there is no test for salvation, there is no way that we can be sure of our salvation or that we must continue to be "fighting the good fight."
May I suggest this: perhaps those who say these thins do not believe, in eternal redemption, orbeing sealed with the Holy Spirit, or no man can snatch it out of my hands. If we have done what the scriptures instruct us to do then we can have no doubts as to our God's ability to keep his word or make sure his promises.

 

Once. I remember the instant when it happened.
