What is wrong with America, and what can we, as a nation of concerned individuals/citizens, do to make sure that America cease fighting among ourselves? I happen to believe that every crisis like the one in Minnesota, inciting riots, will not unite us, but slowly bring America to her knees and civil war. As a nation, I do not believe we can continue to permit incidents like the one with the murder of George Floyd, to go on unchecked. If we do not stop rioting every time a black person is killed, or wronged, we will watch with heavy hearts as America ceases to exist.

So, what are your thoughts as to one more crisis, and conflict to bring about hatred and fighting among ourselves as a country? Will justice be the end result in the Minnesota, or will it be one more hateful, disgusting civil disturbance that results in looting, fighting and division that separates Americans across our nation?

I also want to ask if any of you believe that these rioters are part of a larger underground movement that has its mind set upon destroying America? Is this latest event dividing Americans the symptom of a long line of past events used to sow seeds of mistrust and revolution among Americans? And if this is at the heart of this civil unrest, can we, as a nation, find a solution to bring us closer together, and not further apart?

Finally! Are you the slightest bit concerned with the mindless unrest? And if you are, what can be done to make sure future incidents like this one in Minnesota, does not continue to drive us apart?

Brother, these proverbs trouble me about America's future. They would have since the pandemic wrecked the economy, if I had known about them then.

    Proverbs 24:16
for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.

    Proverbs 11:11
By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is overthrown.

    Proverbs 17:15
He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD

    Proverbs 24:25
But to those who rebuke the wicked will be delight, And a good blessing will come upon them.

    Proverbs 11:31
If the righteous is repaid on earth,
how much more the wicked and the sinner!

While the Proverbs are general principles, I cannot Think of how this calamatous time ends with America rising back up without becoming more righteous. Our future as a nation is linked to blessing believers and calling evil and good what they are. A nation that is ready for evangelism to save souls. If America gets back up with the same wickedness, then we have only delayed what will become to us more and more inevitable.

This is not a crises. This is God’s protection. If Christians in the US were not down on their knees in repentance and praying that the lost repent also, it would be 1000 times worse. But telling the lost and showing them Christ is also part of the process of bringing about a national and global revival. Be a Jesus Christ activist.

Ever since I was a teen in the 60's, I have had to live with the fear of riots. I have been through way too many incidents of civil unrest to begin numbering them. And each event seems worse than the last. I prayerfully fear that we are BEYOND saving this country. And I see darker days ahead, and those days will.continue eat away at whatever good in America remains. When I say "I fear" what I mean is, that I hold strong II my faith, but fear just which event will be the breaking point.

Our nation is facing a moral and spiritual delema that is going to end what small piece of good is remaining. My hope is nothingless, than Jesus Christ, my righteousness.

I believe God is fed up with the church and the people who call themself believers, and one day soon, we will have sat on our long enough to watch America be destroyed to the place of ruin.

Sad...is sad! And sad is weighing down my heart as I watch this once great nation destroy itself in front if the pathetic excuse of so called believers thinking that nothing is bad. We are in our last days, and you need to be prepared for judgement is but one riot from coming to pass.

I don't think we are that far gone, Brother. I do not believe we are over the cliff, since we are still here able to repent as a nation. We aren't dead yet, and that gives us opportunity to avoid God's wrath. We need to call evil what it is, call good what it is, bless Christians, and rebuke the wicked. I hope a nation that does so is ripe for the harvest of evangelism.

We need to pray that this happens and that we have actual bible-believing Christians in positions of leadership galvanizing America to understand real good and evil, while blessing the righteous and rebuking the wicked. Then we will prosper I know it from God's Word in the Proverbs I quoted.

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Just how far in the distant future is it?

    I have a relative question?

Is the following a good thing or a bad thing for the people of America and the rest of the world?

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Dan 2:44
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev 5:10

Exactly who are the subjects being ruled over? What, if any, will be the laws to be obeyed ?

Nonsense can only end when 2 Chronicles 7:12-16 happens.
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.
    13 If I shut up the sky, so that there is no rain; or if I order locusts to devour the land; or if I send an epidemic of sickness among my people;
14 then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears will pay attention to the prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house, so that my name can be there forever; my eyes and heart will always be there.

I agree with your sentiment. I just want to say though, that this was written to the Israelites by context, and it may not refer to all nations. That said, there are more general biblical passages showing the nations run under a similar concept. One is:

    Proverbs 11:11
By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is overthrown.

But who is the righteous? Would would be a return to more righteousness that would advert this coming judgment? Certainly, the disease is of a spiritual nature. Therefore, it requires a spiritual remedy.

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness;
19 because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:
21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves:
25 for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
    28 And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:
32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them. (Romans 1:18-32 ASV)

1 Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.
5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:
6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him. (Psalm 2:1-12 ASV)

1 And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.
2 And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.
    3 And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;
4 but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins. (Isaiah 11:1-5 ASV)

24 But the shameful thing hath devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25 Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day; and we have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God. (Jeremiah 3:24-25 ASV)
    1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith Jehovah, if thou wilt return unto me, and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight; then shalt thou not be removed;
2 and thou shalt swear, As Jehovah liveth, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
3 For thus saith Jehovah to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
4 Circumcise yourselves to Jehovah, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. (Jeremiah 4:1-4 ASV)

2 And though they say, As Jehovah liveth; surely they swear falsely.
3 Then I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish; for they know not the way of Jehovah, nor the law of their God:
4 O Jehovah, do not thine eyes look upon truth? thou hast stricken them, but they were not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they know the way of Jehovah, and the law of their God. But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, a wolf of the evenings shall destroy them, a leopard shall watch against their cities; every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces; because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
7 How can I pardon thee? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the harlots' houses.
8 They were as fed horses roaming at large; every one neighed after his neighbor's wife.
9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith Jehovah; and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her branches; for they are not Jehovah's.
11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith Jehovah.
12 They have denied Jehovah, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: (Jeremiah 5:2-12 ASV)

16 And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah's house; and behold, at the door of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east; and they were worshipping the sun toward the east.
17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
18 Therefore will I also deal in wrath; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them. (Ezekiel 8:16-18 ASV)

1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth from it.
2 For Jehovah hath indignation against all the nations, and wrath against all their host: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies shall come up; and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fade away, as the leaf fadeth from off the vine, and as a fading leaf from the fig-tree. (Isaiah 34:1-4 ASV)

It is not about the nations though.

Read the constitution, "We the people" God did not let many nations ever to exist have that honor. Yes, this prayer belongs to all those in Christ, even Solomon.

I recognize that some of those Scriptures are not about the nations in general in the original context. I would just say that they can apply to other nations than the chosen people of God. The reason is that there are also Scriptures that show that God judges and has judged other nations besides Israel, nations which never professed the worship of the true God, nations that never professed allegiance and subjection to Yahweh God.

We have a sin problem and today, self-righteous America can see clearly that it needs to repent.
But, will we? Or will we continue in rebellion until God gives us over to our depravity?
God is sending all these warning messages to us to reveal our sin and point us to repentance.
    If only we would repent...

That is the question. In this matter I am afraid that people misapprehend what is required for this repentance, not discerning the nature of a returning and turning to God. We must remind that God is a holy God and does not accept all worship or pretended honor that we give to Him. Not every prayer or acknowledgment of religion in the public school would be pleasing and acceptable to God. God does not hear the prayer of the unrepentant idolater who goes on venerating Mary and the saints, invoking them and bowing before their statues. Let us not think that God will take that for a return to Himself that is only a returning to a form of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5) that is practiced or professed in the public square. If it is a return to God we are talking about it will be a returning to His true worship, to worship Him alone, and not to so mock God as to go on in our idolatry and false worship. In the pursuance of revival we must rely upon the power of God to work upon the hearts and minds of sinners, that they may be saved and truly turn to God to serve Him. Let us not presume therefore, that the judgment of God will be restrained by a pretense of returning to Him, of humbling ourselves before Him, which is not so indeed according to His word, but is done in hypocrisy.

I know that in the original context the text is not speaking about the United States of America. I also recognize that our nation is not a Christian nation or the people of God. However, this Scripture does help us discern the difference between a true return to God and a false one, such a way that is done in hypocrisy.

    1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith Jehovah, if thou wilt return unto me, and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight; then shalt thou not be removed;

Now in order for true revival let us forsake our ecumenical compromises with those who teach false gospels and promote idolatry.

In case anyone doubts whether it is conformable to our belief in separation of church and state as Baptists here is a quote from a Baptist from the 1600s who took part in the writing and was a signer of the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith. Here is a quote from a sermon of his entitled: God acknowledged, or, The true interest of the nation and all that fear God.

"1. The Subject, on whom the Precept or Duty is enjoyned Thou my Son; it may refer to one single person, or to any one may that would be wise...; or it may comprehend any wise and pious community of men, Civil or Ecclesiastical; for that which is the duty and true Interest of any one true Son of Wisdom, as so considered, is the duty of all in every place or station where they are set, whether in Church or state.

    2. Observe the Object, Acknowledge Him; That is, the Lord; as repeated in the Context, Trust in the Lord: So here, Acknowledge Him; i. e. He that is your Creator, your God and only Counsellor.

    3. Consider the matter of the Duty, or what the Duty or Precept is, In all thy ways acknowledge him, That is, Know him, Own him, Acknowledge his Being, his Wisdom, his Power, his Soveraignty, and expect Counsel and Success from him.

    4. The Universality of the Duty, In all thy ways Acknowledg God, Seek to him, Consult with him, and that not only in one or two main cases, that are of the greatest moment, or in some difficult Exigencies; but in all thy ways, whatsoever thou attempt to do, for thy Self, Family, Church or State, thou must Acknowledge God; Cry to him, Consult with him who sits up∣on the Throne, who is the Mighty Counsellor, and Everlasting Father, and only Potentate, and great Ruler of the World.

In all thy Designs and Undertakings, whether it be about the things of this Life, or about matters and things that concern the Life that is to come.

Secondly, You have the Motive, And he shall (or he will) direct thy paths: He will give thee Wisdom and Counsel, and shew thee a right way, and Bless thee, and give thee good Success, in all those things thou settest thy hand to do, or in that work thou goest about, wherein his Name and Glory is concerned, and thy good.

From the words thus Opened, I shall only observe one Proposition or point of Doctrine.

Doct. That it is the Indespensible Duty of every Man, or all Men who are Sons of Wisdom, in every thing they enter upon or go about to do, to Acknowledge God, which they must do, if they would Prosper or meet with Success.

In speaking to this Proposition, I shall endeavour (God Assisting) to do these things following.

    1. Shew you what it is to Acknowledgd God, or open the purport of that word more largly.

    2. Shew you in what ways more particularly we should Acknow∣ledg God.

    3. Shew you how or after what manner we should Acknowledg the Lord.

    4. Give you the Reasons of the Point.

    5. Make Application of the whole.

    1. To Acknowledge God, Is to own the Being of God, or that God is, or that there is one Eternal and Infinite Being: It was a great while before Proud Pharoah would do this, And Pharoah said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice, to let Israel go? I know not the Lord; I am the Soveraign Lord of Egypt, and I own no other Superiour here; What Lord hath Authority and Power over me, to command me? But the Lord was resolved to make him know him and acknowledge him before he had done with him, and therefore poured forth his Plagues upon him, and at last overthrew him in the Red Sea: Those who will not Ac∣knowledge God, and so Grorifie his Dreadful Name, he will Glorifie himself upon them at last in their Destruction: And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt, and bring out the Children of Israel from among them. Moreover it was a great while before. Nebuchadnezzer would be brought to Acknowledge the Most High God, therefore was he driven from men, and made to dwell with the Beasts of the Field,*and to eat grass as Oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of Hea∣ven, till his Hairs were grown like Eagles feathers, and his Nails like Birds Claws. Though this is the least degree of Knowing and of Acknowledging God, yet many do not thus Acknowledge Him in their hearts: They Acknowledge Him with their Lips, but by their VVorks deny Him: The Fool hath said in his heart there is no God.

    2. To Acknowledge God, is not only to Acknowledge his Being, his Holy Essence, or Deity; but also that he is the Absolute Soveraign of the whole World, and Sole Governour of all things in Heaven and Earth: I know the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all Gods. VVhatsoever the Lord pleaseth, that did he in Heaven and in Earth, and in all deep places, v. 6. There is no bounds to his Power, but his own Will; and what his Soul desireth that doth he. God's Government is purely Arbitrary, and none but his ought to be so; His Will, His Law; yet is His Government most Righteous, because He can Will nothing but what is Just and Good. Our God is in the Heavens he hath done whatsoever he pleaseth: He hath Power over all both Men and Devils, over Kingdoms and Na∣tions, to dispose and determine them, and all things in them, as seemeth good to him. Who shall say to him, What dost thou? He that made all things, or gave being to all, must needs have Power over all, and be Lord of all; 'tis He that maketh War, and commandeth Peace; that sets Up, and pulleth Down; that Kills and maketh Alive: 'Tis the Glory of God; He hath such an Unlimated and an Uncontroulable Power, seeing he is Perfect∣ly Just and Righteous, as his Power is Inconceivable, so his Will is Incorruptible: I the Lord have spoken it, it shall come to pass, and I will do it, I will not go back. As if the Lord should say, It is my will it should be done, and therefore it shall be done: His Counsel shall stand, and he will do all his Pleasure.

And this Brethren we should know; and this it is to Acknowledge God. But,

    3. To Acknowledge God, Is to Own and Acknowledge that all things come to pass by his All-wise Providence: According to his Eternal Decree; either by his special Commission, or by his Permission; to say all things come to pass by Gods special Commmission, is to make him the author of Sin; but this know assuredly, that God did Determine, before time, that he would do such things, or permit or suffer such things to come to pass, and be done, or else it was impossible it should ever be done: All the Motions of the Creature, even the most violent, and to appearance, Contingent Motions of the Creature, are under the Direction, yea, under the Dominion of God." Comparing the first 200 years of each, and they had more godly founders, I say the US did way better. Most of the US spiritual leaders have all been assumed to be false prophets. The time of the judges in Israel was the time of direct revelation. They still as a group backslid and forgot God.

It is not the government that makes a nation, it is the people. In Christ we are equals. There is no difference in status.

If you are talking about modern Israel, they are still in the womb. Yes, even there, God is molding them into who they will be, even if it is just a short season.

There isn't rioting every time a black person is killed—not even close. How many hundreds of their own do they murder in the street? How many thousands of the unborn do they murder in their own wombs?

"BLM is a joke." Yes, a very bad joke, a disgrace. "[They] are hypocrites." "[They] are the racists." Exactly.

Watch – ‘Black Lives Matter Is a Joke’: Black D.C. Resident Tells Far-Left Group ‘Go to Chicago’

A D.C. resident confronted Black Lives Matter (BLM) protesters at a demonstration over the death of George Floyd in Washington, DC, on Sunday, calling them “hypocrites.”

“Black Lives Matter is a joke. You are the racists,” said Nestride Yumga, an American citizen originally from Africa.
