    Nothing in Matthew 24:27 relates to Jesus' Second Coming.

    They only relate to The Fall of The Jerusalem and "27 as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be", and that is exactly how Jesus Came in Providential Judgment, on The Temple and Jerusalem in 70 A.D., which is what Jesus is Answering that the disciples asked, about "not one brick left on another".

    This article sheds light on Matthew 24.

    This is The DIVINE INTERPRETATION>

    There is only ONE "Interpretation" of each verse, in The Bible.

    9.0.18a:> NT: REVELATION 21:9; SATAN SOLD: “The Pre-Mil/ Rapture” Trap to The Candlestick’s Angles in Jesus’ Right Hand and SOME of HIS BRIDE BOUGHT IT.

    Jesus is Coming, however.

    Jesus describes His Second Coming in Matthew 24:37 and the following.

    Not before.

    Not at all.

    Not one Word.

    Biblically Speaking.

    So, there should be NO REFERENCE
    to Matthew 24:4-35, Regarding,
    “THE END of THE WORLD”, made by “Preachers”, or “Authors”,
    because, Matthew 24:4-35 ONLY REFERS, EXCLUSIVELY, to:
    The Death of Jewish People and Nation at
    THE DESTRUCTION of JERUSALEM.

    ALL of THE “ISSUES” in these VERSES
    from Matthew 24:4-14, TOOK PLACE PRIOR to
    THE DESTRUCTION of JERUSALEM
    AND
    DO NOT “REFER TO” or “APPLY” to ANY
    “END of THE WORLD” that JESUS TALKS ABOUT:

    Matthew 24:5b;
    “many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ;
    and shall deceive many”

    Matthew 24:6a;

    “you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars”

    Matthew 24:7;

    “nation shall rise against nation,
    and kingdom against kingdom:
    and there shall be famines, and pestilences,
    and earthquakes, in divers places”

    Matthew 24:9;
    “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted,
    and shall kill you”

    Matthew 24:11;
    “many false prophets shall rise”

    Matthew 24:12, 13;
    “…iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

    “But he that shall endure to the end,
    the same shall be saved.”

    IN ADDITION:
    ALL of THE “ISSUES” in these VERSES
    from Matthew 24:15-35;
    TOOK PLACE DURING
    THE DESTRUCTION of JERUSALEM
    AND
    DO NOT “REFER TO” or “APPLY” to ANY
    “END of THE WORLD” that
    JESUS TALKS ABOUT:

    Matthew 24:15;
    “When you, therefore, shall see
    the abomination of desolation,
    spoken of by Daniel the Prophet”

    Matthew 24:21;

    Because then shall be great tribulation,
    such as was not since the beginning of the world
    to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

    Matthew 24:22;

    “except those days should be shortened,
    there should no flesh be saved”

    Matthew 24:24;

    “Because there shall arise false Christs,
    and false prophets,
    and shall show great signs and wonders;
    so that, if it were possible,
    they shall deceive the very Elect.”

    Matthew 24:27;

    “Because as the lightning comes out of the east,
    and shines even to the west;
    so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

    Matthew 24: 28;
    “Because wherever the carcass is,
    there will the eagles be gathered together.”

    Matthew 24:29;
    “Immediately
    after the tribulation of those days
    shall the sun be darkened,
    and the moon shall not give her light,
    and the stars shall fall from heaven,
    and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

    ( Question:
    Do we need to look up references in The Bible to:

    “the sun be darkened,
    and the moon shall not give her light,
    and the stars shall fall from heaven”,
    in order to arrive
    at the Biblical Interpretation?

    Answer: We need to do that in order to arrive
    at the Biblical Interpretation of every other Scripture,
    don’t we?

    Hint: “Luminaries such as these “pictured” Joseph’s family
    “Bowing Down to him”, in one of the dreams he had, right?

    Genesis 10:9;
    And he ( Joseph ) dreamed yet another dream,
    and told it his brothers, and said,
    Behold, I have dreamed a dream more;
    and, behold, the sun and the moon
    and the eleven stars made obeisance
    ( deference, homage ) to me.”

    And in Genesis, at The Creation of “The Sun”
    and “The Moon”, they are respectively Said
    to DO WHAT, “Over The Day” and “Over The Night”?

    “RULE” !, “GOVERN”!

    Genesis 1:16;
    “And God Made Two Great Lights;
    the Greater Light to Rule the Day,
    and the Lesser Light to Rule the Night:
    He Made the Stars also.”

    Now go to get your Divine Interpretation of
    Matthew 24:29;

    “Immediately after the tribulation of those days
    shall the sun be darkened,
    and
    the moon shall not give her light,
    and
    the stars shall fall from heaven,
    and
    the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”
    ( all speaking of “Rulers”/ “Governors”
    of various degrees )

    Matthew 24:30;
    And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
    and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
    and they shall see the Son of man
    coming in the clouds of heaven
    with power and great glory.

    Matthew 24:31;
    And he shall send his angels
    with a great sound of a trumpet,
    and they shall gather together his elect
    from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    Matthew 24:34;

    Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass,
    till all these things be fulfilled.

    AS FAR AS,
    THE END of THE WORLD,
    WITH JESUS’ SECOND COMING,
    JESUS SAID:
    “No Sign Shall Be Given”.

    Only a relative handful of people believe that there was a second coming already. Nothing in history backs up this assertion.

    Don't know where that upside-down backwards blurp came from....

    The Interpretation of Matthew 24 is an Interpretation of The Bible.

    You don't know it?

    Still stuck in names of Satanic schemes to see THE WORD?

    NOTHING IN THOSE VERSES is referring to Jesus Coming to Earth.

    Name one verse that refers to The Second Coming of Jesus Christ to Earth in Matthew 24:4-35.

    I am not saying 'Jesus Came Back' and neither is The Bible.

    Not until Matthew 24:36.

    Brother, Proverbs 26:4 is needed with this guy,
    Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him.

    We lose if we argue with him on his terms. I pray he gets out of deception, that is about all we can do.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 condemns this theology.

    You are like the dispensationists--anyone who disagrees with you is heretical.

    I don't think that preterists and dispensationalists are beyond the pale of logic or incapable of reasoning but you are correct that only the Holy Spirit can deal with these theological beliefs. Debating the tribulation is a lot of tribulation. :D:Roflmao:D:Roflmao

    If the Second Advent has not occurred, then there has been no Anti-Christ occurring either because Anti-Christ will all but conquer the world. Rome was iron but Rome failed to conquer the world. Xi Jinping has come closer to that tyranny as he rules 1.3 billion people with a naked iron fist, much like Stalin but with more power than Stalin. But then the orient has always been despotic and often defied their rulers as the Japanese did Herohito.

    And I am trying to have a preterist explain what he believes happened. Why do you think, as do believers in dispensationalism, that any disagreement with you is Satanic?

    I don't see where you have the Anti-Christ in your scenario and you have said that Jesus did not return yet.

    The Divine Interpretation that fits like a hand in a glove is the one Interpretation of the passage, whether I had ever lived or not.

    You have a rule that 'The Anti-Christ' has to be in Matthew 24?

    What happened to Xi Jinping?

    Speaking of, 'Still stuck in names of Satanic schemes', what is a 'preterist'?

    Is that someone who believes Christianity began with John Calvin?

    Where do you get your info about the antichrist? I get mine from John''s letters. QV
    Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming,
    even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 2:18
    Obviously a first C antichrist! He perished in the prophesied AD 70 destruction.

    Note 2 Thes. 2 prophesies events while the temple was standing -
    3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
    5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
    It is recorded history. I believe he was a Jewish leader - his name doesn't matter.

    I suppose that you think that I am satanic for not agreeing with Preterism?

    Haven't heard from you for awhile. Exactly who was this Anti-Christ? Was it some minor Roman who helped raze Jerusalem, besiege Masada, change the name of Israel to Palestine in reference to the Philistines, enslave the Jews, and execute the diaspora? Excuse me but Rome was a forerunner of Germany and was destroyed for it to a pile of pestilent rubble, some of which you have in the British Isles. And then the UK took over the Holy Land and made a big mess of it too, so I should think that you would know quite well this verse:

    Zechariah 12:2 (KJV) Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem.

    Guess what. President Truman supported Israel and Ike did not support the French and British and Israelis at Suez.

    Matthew 24:27, ". . . so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. . . ." There are only the two appearings, Hebrews 9:28, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

    Matthew 24:42, "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."

    The
    Matthew 24:27 passage is within the context of Jesus' answering, "what shall be the sign of thy Coming" and that specific 'Coming' is in Providential Judgment on The Jews USING The Roman Army.

    The car is is The Jewish Economy of Temple Worship and The Eagles are The Roman Army.

    One of the touchiest, difficult passages in The Bible, but nothing to do with Jesus' Second Coming.

    Jesus Shall Appear a Second Time ( your Hebrews quote)

    "Watch therefore" because He Says He is Returning with no Santa Claus "trib", "mill", "Left Behind" nonsense.

    Bald assertions do not make for good Biblical interpretation. The text is always first what it says.
