Coming to Jesus = God puts an individual into Christ.
God puts an individual into Christ = Baptized into Christ
Baptized into Christ = Sanctification by the Spirit
Sanctification by the Spirit = Sanctifying work of the Spirit
Sanctifying work of the Spirit = by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body
Baptized into one body = transferred from the realm of darkness into the kingdom of His Son
Transferred into the kingdom of His Son = called out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Everyone that arrives in Christ will never be cast out!!!
To be redeemed is to be put into Christ
To be redeemed is to be transferred from the realm of darkness into His marvelous light.

Whose action? God's action alone. The individual plays no part.
Is the action based on willing or working for salvation? Nope, salvation depends on God alone.

How then is your view of Matthew consistent?

It means everyone except that select number is forever lost and takes the place of tares among the believers.

Calvinists consistently claim my view is inconsistent. This is their consistent ploy.
Consistent with this is the consistent change of subject, disparagement of opponents, and misrepresentation of my consistent view.

I, for one, will never disparage you, Van.

But the next time you label someone with a derogatory name in print, insult or demean a person who does not agree with you, or portray someone as anything less than honorable...
Is it OK with you if I call your attention to it?

My only focus would be to encourage you to follow the Lord's commands regarding Christian conduct ( Romans 12:1-21, Colossians 3:1-17, Titus 3:2, Hebrews 12:14 ), and nothing more.
Of that I can assure you.

To me, there's no reason that we cannot disagree, but still be peaceable towards each other.

May the Lord bless you, sir, in many ways.

In rev.6 : 10-11 Those departed saints are told to rest for a little season, other fellow believers are also going to be martyred as they were.
This implies the passing of time as the Heavenly Kingdom spreads worldwide .Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.

okay, but I am asking about verses like isa60:1-5
what is the nature of that coming to the light?
    when does that take place?
vs3 Gentiles shall come to your light
vs4 they all gather, they come to you.
vs5.the wealth of the Gentiles comes to you.

When and how does this happen?

    consider vs.12.
For the nation and Kingdom which will not serve you shall perish.and those nations shall be utterly ruined.
13,14...and they shall call you The City of the Lord
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
    in vs 16-22
The language sounds like a transition into the eternal state, not in Heaven but on the land, Heaven comes down to earth.

Here yet another Calvinist claims I "label someone with a derogatory name in print, insult or demean a person who does not agree or portray someone as anything less than honorable." Is the topic being addressed. Nope. Is the subject being changed to my behavior? You bet. Does this claim "disparage me?"

Two very different actions are conflated with the phrase "come to Jesus." One action, where an individual responds to the call and draw of the gospel, and puts their faith in God and His Redeemer. The other action is where God alone transfers an individual from the realm of darkness into the kingdom of His Beloved Son provided God alone credits their faith as righteousness.

Those pondering the promise of God given by the gospel of Christ are taking the preliminary actions needed for God to credit their faith as righteousness. So they are "entering the kingdom" and "coming to Jesus" as they put their faith in Christ. But, false teachers prevent them for coming to faith, thus prevent them from "entering."

    Van,
Please forget that I mentioned it.

    Thank you, sir,
And may the Lord be pleased to remind you that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from God ( James 1:17 ).

Your faith and love have arisen from the hope laid up for you in heaven, which you have heard about in the message of truth, the gospel.

Here we have an interesting take on the verse. Hope laid up for you sounds like a lump of "hope" has been put aside in the heavenly kingdom. But is that the intended meaning? Of course not. We have heard from the gospel of something laid up for us, and our hope is in that promise.

And so our coming to faith in Christ and our love for Christ arose from trusting in the promises of the gospel of truth. So where does scripture say our faith and love come from? The answer is trusting in the promises of the gospel of Christ. Are they "innate promises?" Nope. Can a person not believe them, or not fully believe in them? You bet. Does a person who accepts the directions given in the gospel believe? Yes indeed. What is the work God requires of us? To believe in the One He sent.

Does coming to faith, after being invited and drawn through the gospel of Christ "merit" salvation? Nope, all our works of righteousness are as filthy rags to God. Does our repenting and trusting in Christ bring glory to God alone? Yes in deed!

yes we come to him in faith believing when we ask for forgiveness we accept by faith Hebrews tells us let us approach the throne of Grace with Boldness that we may obtain mercy and help in time of need. He stands at the door of our heart knocking we have to let him.

All of Isa40-66 highlights the spread of the Kingdom worldwide as those elected come to Jesus. Nothing else needs to take place but gospel proclamation.

If the first "knock" is the invitation to eternal life of the gospel, and the second knock is the attraction of God's lovingkindness toward us - He demonstrated His love for us as He died for us when we were sinners, what is the third knock? God's persistence even when we are slow to answer?

    Knock, Knock
    Who is there?
    The King of Kings
    Bringing God's Unimaginable Gift.

It is obvious your Inconsistency is only exceeded by your insincere ability to answer a simple question.

    Is it because you cannot?
