    Good evening all -

In our reading in Leviticus, one thing that stood out to me is in Chapter 8, verse 6: "Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water." In our reading this year, there were certain points for which I had a personal agenda to look. One was the laying of hands, another was instances of Baptism. I think that this may be the first reference of a ritualistic cleansing with water we have seen, short of the Lord cleansing the earth in Genesis. I would appreciate any comments on this.
The other thing that struck me was those boys in Chapter 8, verse 35, having to hang out at the entrance of the tent for seven days. What do you suppose they did? Did they talk? What about biological functions? It must have been terribly dull after a while.

In Matthew, I often think about the verse telling us to never lead one into sin. It adds a great responsibility to being a Christian. I also think about going after that lost sheep. I think as a witnessing Christian, these are two of my primary responsibilities.

In Acts, after two years of incarceration, Paul will be escorted to Rome, perhaps his greatest mission. As we read Acts, it becomes more and more obvious, Paul was no dummy. He had a good grasp of the Old Testament scriptures, a good grasp of the law, and he certainly had a knack for manipulating situations to meet his needs.

I look forward to our shared readings tomorrow, and may God bless all of you

    - Clint
