Lost Faith

Pick up a KJV New Testament and read the books of John and Romans. Then go back and read the books of John, Acts, and Romans. If you are sincere in your desire to have an eternal relationship with your Creator, you will find and learn about Him in these chapters. His name is Jesus. You must be born again.

 

Are you saved, is Jesus the Lord? Are you in an other religion, or changing church name?

 

Having to go to the worst church around!?! Sound like you will NEED plenty FAITH AND TRUST in GOD to keep it up.

Getting what you want is easy, Finding a church that tells you what you want to hear, thats easy, takes zero faith.

Fighting in the trenches, surrounded by obstacles, attending the church don't particularly like............Oh did you want to find out what it means to RELY ON GOD ALONE?

You going from what religion to what?

There is no problem outside your body, its not the church, not your being praised, not your being looked down on.

You got to start from the inside. The devil hides bigger demons then himself once you know their names you know exactly who to fight. One of those bigger demon's name is DISPAIR. Opposite of Hope. Don't speak on behalf of despair.

 

So you 'went home happy'. Is that why we attend church? There are plenty of 'feel good' churches around promoting 'positive thinking' with moving 'praise & worship' before the pastor teaches that all we need to do is think “happy thoughts” and as a result—God will somehow bless us because of our positive thinking. Is this the type of 'religion' you want?

I would like to hear what you are looking for in a church. Isn't our primary purpose in gathering together as fellow believers to WORSHIP the One who cleanses us from the filth of our sins and provides us with the salvation of our souls?

You can have a faith where you can know for sure:
In the first epistle by Saint John, 1 John 5:9-13, ". . . These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

As Long as you sincerely follow your heart with good conscience your all clear.

In Fact as a Catholic it would be sin to go against your conscience and obligate yourself as a Catholic

When the Good conscience says "this is the way".....that is God saying it....... and then you end up a Mandalorian Catholic.


Feeling God's presence. Sometimes in the greatest cry for help we become the helper. If switching religions doesn't work try volunteering at a soup kitchen or something.

Don't despair, and don't beat yourself up, God loves you.

Let me tell you everyone here is different denominations, you can watch us catholics, baptists, non-baptist, calvinist, non cals duke it out everyday and I love everyone of them.

I am confused. Your profile identifies you as Baptist. Is that a mistake? You say you are Catholic.

BTW, I was Baptist until I read the history of the Early Church and found it in no way looked like a typical Baptist church. It was Catholic from the very start. I am now Catholic. One person here mentioned the Celtic Church. Read about the liturgy of the Celtic Church and tell me what their worship closely resembled. Also, do some research on the churches established by St, Thomas in India and tell me what their liturgy (worship) closely resembles. These churches operated independently from the Catholic Church primarily due to distance, but their worship was very Catholic.

Question: Is your primary reason to gather together with other Christians to worship Jesus Christ or is it to come out 'feeling good' after the service concludes? Sometimes I don't 'feel good' before worship, nor do I 'feel good' after. However, I do my best to adore Christ the King and show gratitude for Him bringing me out of the miry pit and setting feet upon solid ground.

 

@Hannahande When you feel God Almighty's blessing and love and it delivers inner joy and peace and hope, then go for it.

I am happy to share what 2 Thessalonians 3:22 and Galatians 5:22 denotes - that faith is not the possession of all persons as it is a fruit of God's spirit.
