When I was reading through Deuteronomy 23 the other day I came upon verse 3
"An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of Jehovah for ever:" ASV

" An Ammonite, or Moabite shall not enter into the Congregation of the Lord, euen to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the Congregation of the Lord for euer," KJV

" "No Ammonite or Moabite may enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of them may enter the assembly of the LORD forever," ESV
My question was this Ruth was in David's lineage yet 10 Generations had not yet passed and Ruth was a Moabite. Solomon would have been the 5th generation how could they worship in the Temple?

Was it because Ruth married Boaz and he was Jewish?

By the grace and mercy of God?

Under the Law of Moses, Solomon's mother and father deserved death for their sins but received mercy.

    Like father like son?

There is a rabbinical explanation however.

    FWIW to you:

What if Solomon didn't enter the temple? What if he did enter the temple, but it was a sin? It certainly wouldn't have been the only sin that Solomon did.
