The 400 years of evil.

This is often misinterperted. But here is the simple explanation.
Genesis 15:13 and Acts 7:6.
Both these two statments have three distinct prophecies. The third prophecy reads:
Genesis 15:13, ". . . and they shall afflict them four hundred years; . . ."
Acts of the Apostles 7:6, ". . . and entreat them evil four hundred years. . . ."
Now there is 430 years between the promise God gave Abraham to the giving of the Law to Moses. Galatians 3:17 and Exodus 12:40 LXX.
It is to be interperted to be 30 years from the promise to the event given in Genesis 21:9, ". . . And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. . . ." Making this the beginning of the 400 years.
