Would you allow MTV to Pimp your Ride?

I'm confused, and haven't seen the show.

What is wrong with "pimping" a car? How do they do that? If the true definition of the word was given, I assume they're taking people's cars and getting them ready for people to use for prostitutes to service clients in?
Why would ANYONE want to do that? Wouldn't that be a big hint to police, if you're seen on national television getting your car ready to use for illegal activities? And how exactly DO you get a car ready for that? Saran wrap it and throw in in a pillow?

 

I don't watch any of those either.

God says we are not to learn the way of the heathen, i've seen MTV etc and it in no way glorifies God. If we as his children were to adopt such careless terminology then how would the unbeliever determine us as the believer against an unbeliever and wouldn't that give them a reason to believe that there would be little cause to change from heathen to a child of God?. Here in Australia we are watching churches falling apart because they are using worldy means to bring in and keep new converts rather than relying on the power of God.
