Displaying Greek and Hebrew without downloading fonts.

Anyone interested in knowing how to do this? I use both languages quite a bit on another forum

This is for displaying Hebrew fonts online and in HTML documents. Type from left to right, the system will reverse whatever you type. For example, for Yeshua type, L to R, yod, shin, waw, ayin, ישוע and it will display correctly as ישוע

You can also do the Greek with ISO numbers. But it is easier to do this. Prefix each character with & and follow it with ;, then type the name of the Greek character, alpha for lower case alpha and Alpha for upper case.
α= α and Α= Α
β = β and Β = Β
γ = γ and Γ = Γ


There is one unusual letter. ς = ς And so on through the Alphabet.

You can also do Arabic, this is Allah, in Arabic, إللم is إللم

I don't have all the numbers.What you can do is work thorough the numbers backward and forward from these until you find the entire alphabet. That's how I did the Hebrew. Then test them by previewing a post and back button without posting it.

&#1488 = Aleph the first letter in the Hebrew Alephbet
&#1514 = Tau the last letter in the Hebrew alephbet, together the Hebrew equivalent of the Α and the Ω in the N.T.
