Limited atonement is the only atonement taught in scriptures.

You can scream context all you want, thats just a clever way of evading and denying truth, nevertheless, man naturally doesnt seek God, not the true God. That word seek means:

    to seek out, demand, inquire
Usage: I seek out, seek out after, require.
to seek out for oneself, beg, crave

worship -- en- (re-)quire, seek after (carefully, diligently).

Man naturally is spiritually dead, so he cant hear spiritually, just like a man physically dead, cant see or hear physically. A man can be physically alive, and hear and see physically, but yet spiritually dead, and cant see or hear, or understand spiritually.

If you think it is not there, then you are either blind or you have your eyes shut.

    *1 Corinthians 2:3-16*

And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Luke 22:20-21, ". . . Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. . . ."

Eh, we have been over this ad nauseum with @37818 and have proved, from Scripture, that when Jesus is addressing the collective group of the disciples he is not always including all 12.

I know. Look at the verse again Lk 22:21

21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

Jesus quickly uses the adverb But/plēn and it means:

    1. moreover, besides, but, nevertheless

    2. besides, except, but
Which seems to be an exception, as though He singled out judas. Jesus did similar with judas in Jn 17::12

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

judas was a vessel of wrath being fitted for destruction, thats what perdition means. Rom 9:22

I dont believe Jesus Christ came to save the vessels of wrath God is fitting for destruction.

And there in lays the problem for the Calvinist. Remember you had nothing to do with your salvation, God even had to drop faith into you. Calvinists, in reality, have to think they seek God. It just may be God playing a trick on them just so they will suffer all the more in hell.

Your telling me what Calvinists believe, not what the bible says. Try trusting the bible not your man-made philosophy.

You see what you need to see to justify your opinion Austin. That is the hallmark of Calvinism.

Then you do not believe all of scripture do you. You cherry pick what you want to believe so it is not the bible you believe but rather yourself. You have raised your opinions over scripture.

Your right, sometimes He is addressing many more and sometimes less.

You are the one that is claiming it is in the bible so it is you that has to prove that it is in the bible. Backup your claim.

When Jesus said, ". . . the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you." It can and so is to be understood to include Judas. Jŕudas, of course, we know is lost.

You see that? Man doesnt even desire the True God. Man seeks and desires false gods, but not the True God who made Heaven and Earth.
