What is a Software Requirements Analyst and how do you become one ?

 

Uhmmm...lemmesee.

I got my first computer in 1998. Dell. Windows 95, Pentium. I became a computer case analyst. I found out that some computer cases dented easily when given a round house punch.

A few months after that I learned how to replace the hard drive. Gave the old guy a conk on the head.

Second computer was in 1999. Gateway. Windows 97, slightly better. Graduated from computer case analysis to keyboard analysis. Found out the qwerty keys on top flew much easier than the yhnjk keys on the right side.

A year after that I was learning how to zero in on the drive from outside, and zero'ed the drive without much effort.

I'm on my third computer now. Dell again. Windows XP. A little more astute than before.

I can program C++, VB6, do the mark up languages, and network some.

 

I got my Bachelor's degree four years ago in Computer Information Systems, Then A+ certification last year. I'm still trying to put them to a finacially beneficial use.

 

I got a
degree in Electrical Engineering. I worked
as a computer professional for 27 years.
They gave me a job being a Software
Requirements Analyst. That is somebody that
helps write down what the requirements
are for some computer software. I'm not
talking SIMPLE programs here, I'm talking
programs that cost tens of millions of dollars.

 

G220 - You know SAP? My dad programs with stuff. My stepmom has to also work in it, but not from the programming side. She's more the user side and she hates the stuff.

azwyld knows word, excel, powerpoint, MS Outlook, Netscape, Word (in)Perfect, Apple/Mac, IBM, MS Binder, Access, Victr2000 (engineering gobble-d-guk), took a class in COBOL (bleh), windows, 2 commands in DOS (exit & directory), front page express...basically all the stuff us lowly secretaries need to survive and lord over all you programmers and managers!

SAP also has a religious aspect... yep, Submit And Pray

 

A+ certified (Computer Repair), former Network Admin (Administered 6 NT servers and a dozen Citrix Metaframe servers for about 1000 clients), former software engineer (VB, Delphi, PERL, some javascript, Winistall, SMS (and its install packages)), Web admin. I have re-installed crashed Macs, worked with various networks (LAN, WAN), Linux (Red Hat, Mandrake), Dos 3/5/6; Windows 3.x, 9x, ME, NT, 2K, XP

And still looking for a job
