    The Doctrine of Election in a Nutshell: "God chooses the individuals He will save."

    Does this tell us whether the election is corporate or individual? Yes, our election for salvation is individual.

    Does this tell us when God chooses us individually? No. But 2 Thessalonians 2:13 tells us God uses our faith in the truth to make His Election, thus individual election occurs not before creation, but during our lifetime after God credits our faith as righteous faith.

    2 Thessalonians 2:13 (NET)
    But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

    Lets see:
    Post #2 - mindless taint so post

    Post #3 - mindless name calling nonsense

    Post #4 - Link to non-content, with nothing germane.

    Post #5 - Information concerning the Linked source, but no admission of doctrinal view.

    But Post #6 presents obvious truth, bible students can study scripture and discern meaning without needing intermediaries.

    Bottom line, denial but no alternate view presentation, for the obvious meaning of 2 Thessalonians 2:13.

    But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord,
    because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation
    through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

    the apostle styles them brethren;
    asserts them to be the beloved of the Lord;
    gives an instance of it, for which he gives thanks, namely, their election of God;
    the date of which was from everlasting;
    the means sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth;
    the end salvation by Jesus Christ;
    and the evidence of which was their effectual calling by the Gospel,
    to the obtaining of the glory of Christ
    , 2 Thessalonians 2:13

    But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord,
    because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation
    through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

    *2 Timothy 1:8-12* (ESV)
    Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.

    *2 Timothy 1:9*
    For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

    2 Thessalonians 2:13 “in a nutshell”

    1. God choses the individual “from the beginning” before the foundation of the world

    how? “Through” sanctification….

    2. God Holy Spirit “sanctifies” us. Sanctification means to be set apart. So… from the beginning; before the the foundation of the world God loved us and set us apart for salvation.

    and…

    3. That salvation is appropriated by faith in the truth.

    This is made clear the next verse (14) where Paul tells us He (God) called us by the gospel to obtain the glory of Christ.

    So, your belief denies scripture that tells us God choses us before the foundation of the world based on His will and supplants it with the belief God choses us in time based on our will to believe the gospel.

    peace to you

    I have address that from the beginning means since or after the beginning dozens of times, yet this post ignores the obvious.

    Yes, we are chosen when we are set apart (sanctified) within Christ's spiritual body.

    No verse says election for salvation is "appropriated" by faith in the truth. Scripture says we are chosen for salvation through or by way of faith in the truth. I am the one saying scripture means what it says.
