The Liberal Democracies, of whom the United States, is currently chief. They are indeed wicked as well in spiritual perversion and shall receive the Antichrist.

You make a good point regrading Gog and Magog being slain first to open the door for the end-time. However, in my opinion, I do not see the current leader as the one that God puts a ‘hook in his jaw’ (Eze 38:4), but possibly his successor.

I see you are reading the one and only Bible version that is specific to this insight in Ezekiel 39:2 and in understanding Bible Prophecy. Well done.

I do not know Conan’s understanding of prophetic events, but I think he is attempting to show different research methodologies in understanding geopolitical events. I wrote about this at Finding the Truth in an age of Disinformation (kjvdebate.com). To not attempt to negotiate with both sides and at least make efforts for peace is dangerous ground. Even Henry Kissinger said this recently regarding Russia and Ukraine which was a shock to many.

Unfortunately, this is true. Jesus said, “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive” (John 5:43) KJV.
But in my opinion your post is right on and understanding Bible prophecy such as you do is key to understanding geopolitical events.

I think that's what xlsdraw was saying in that the Ezekiel events occur first before any Revelation events. Perhaps I mis-understood him quoting 'slain first.'

 

You seem to think that Russia has the right to tell another country what they can and can not do. That is your and Russia's first mistake.

The second mistake that Russia made was to believe their own propaganda. They are not a strong military. Putin has found out that not everyone wants to be controlled by a thug, most people will fight back.

Putin has made his paranoia, that everyone wanted to destroy Russia, come true. Russia, as a nation can not be allowed to exist any longer and the world knows this. Russia has now become a laughing stock on the world stage. Putin has lead that country over a cliff into a third world status.

 

But Gog and Magog is referred to in Revelation 20:8.

 

Gog and Magog are dual events at two separate junctions. The invasion in Ezekiel 38-39 is from the “North” (Ezekiel 38:6;15; 39:2), whereas the invasion in Revelation 20 is worldwide and includes Satan from “the four corners of the earth” (Rev 20: 7-8) KJV. The beast, the false prophet, and Satan are nowhere mentioned in the Ezekiel event.

 

You for those factors what to believe them to be distinct events, fine. Time will tell when said events take place.
