    The Simplicity of Christ

The Apostle Paul wrote, "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3). Paul's desire for His hearers was that they, as justified sinners, be established in grace, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, with no confidence in the flesh. In order to do this, he taught that it was necessary for believers to set our minds and affections upon Christ and the simplicity which is found only in Him. What is this simplicity? It is salvation, from regeneration to final glorification, conditioned solely upon Christ and His righteousness imputed, with no contribution from our best obedience as to the ground of salvation. This is what our looking to and resting in Christ is about. This is what it is to give Him all the glory and the preeminence in our salvation and in our lives. Our doctrine, our practices, our methods should aim towards this simplicity so that we continually say, "God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Galatians 6:14).

I see we have more leaven being offered to corrupt the bread of life, the gospel of Christ.

What is the "simplicity of Christ?" Well, it is found when we are "in Christ." Thus chosen by God and placed spiritually into Christ's spiritual body. Christ is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to the Father, the single way, there is no other. He is the Truth, the perfect image of God, there is no other. In Him is life, and life eternal, there is no other.

Yea, you, spreading the leaven of Vanology.

You want to show where exactly the OP contradicts any of this? Instead of just spouting off?

I see Mr. Kyredneck is spouting off, saying taint so, with no content.

I challenge you to show where the OP contradicts any of this.

This empty suit seems unable to state his position, other than denial of biblical truth. He seems not to be able to discern where the OP deviated from the following:

    Luke 9:35
Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”

    Luke 23:35
And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One.”

Jude 1:4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

You're the one who is unable to meet the challenge and state your position. All you've done so far is more of your knee-jerk anti-Calvinist spouting off.

1 John 5:9-13, ". . . If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. . . ."

God loved humanity in this way, He gave His uniquely divine Son so that everyone believing into Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. The Simplicity of the Gospel of Christ.
