    Too far. How?
Jesus' and NT teaching excluded women from divorce. Generally many Christian interprets will not agree that this is true.
The Law Deuteronomy 24:1, ". . . When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. . . ."
Mark 10:12, ". . . And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. . . ."

It is interesting that they will examine any married person seeking membership for an “unlawful” divorce and if they believe the divorce unlawful, the new marriage must be annulled before membership is allowed.

    That is going too far.

I also found it interesting they didn’t say anything about examining potential members for pre-marital fornication, gossip, stealing, lying, drinking, fighting, crude language etc…

If you are demanding perfection for membership, don’t stop at divorce.

    peace to you
