The time clicks closer every second.

2 Peter 3:10-13 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Why do some think the (ineffective) Biden administration has brought humanity closer to annihilation?

Eisenhower taught us that the run up to WWII demonstrates strength deters aggression, but weakness invites aggression. Thus the USA needs to maintain a hefty defense capability to deter nuclear aggression.

How about using our stockpiles but not replenishing the stockpile?

Do we have enough C-17's to airlift Stryker forces?

    Do we have enough Javelins?

I might put aside a bottle of water, a flashlight with fresh batteries and test that old dusty whistle out for attracting attention.
    Ready for anything.

When the "Doomsday" that I pointed to in the OP as getting closer second by second happens, you won't need a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, or a whistle. It will the instant end of the present heavens and earth and the start of the new heavens and earth wherein dwells righteousness.

"Someone feckless is lacking in feck. And what, you may ask, is feck? In Scots—our source of fecklessfeck means "majority" or "effect." The term is ultimately an alteration of the Middle English effect. So something without feck is without effect, or ineffective. In the past, feckful (meaning "efficient, effective," "sturdy," or "powerful") made an occasional appearance. But in this case, the weak has outlived the strong: feckless is a commonly used English word, but feckful has fallen out of use."

Well I think prudent prepping is good, so long as dudes don’t make an idol of it.

Many get an idea that they are going to hoard everything, and fight off the scavengers. Saying tough luck, they should have prepared.

A believing Prepper instead will give to all who ask, then give more in anticipation of people’s future needs.

Ultimately we trust in God to provide when human efforts and foresight fail, and we must always have that in mind. And this life is not all we are aspiring for.

Even if we should starve, all that happens is you fall asleep, and wake up to Lord Jesus forever.

Prepping for seasonal probability is the usual, and it’s usually put on the hearts of husbands and fathers to be responsible for the family preps.

    Preach Jesus to them.

"Do you think Jesus will Come Back, today?"

Then, let 'em have it, per the OP.

There are those in the United States Government who believe we can win a first strike against Russia. Back in the Cold War both countries knew better. But the US has lost that mentality, and it is the US that has backed out of the Nuclear weapons treaties. Bush was the first to bring back (after they were once banned) tactical small nukes.
