Obfuscation

    Let two or three prophets speak, and the others evaluate.

    Scholars seem divided as to whether "others" refers to the other "prophets" or the entire audience.

    Clearly the idea is to limit the number of views being expressed so that the audience, including the other prophets can thoughtfully and prayerfully consider what is being said in light of scripture.

    When we see a point of view expressed in an opening post, and then either multiple or long winded posts taking pot shots, what is the result. Actual consideration of the view is prevented or hindered.

    When the opening poster is addressed, and his or her supposed flaws are mentioned, obviously obfuscation is the objective.

    And those that defend the practice of preventing or hindering discussion of biblical truth obviously are not seeking truth.

    I addressed the fact scholars are divided concerning the issue and that my view is "the audience including the prophets."
