HE CAME TO HIS OWN

Luke 1.11-13

11. He came to His own, and those who were His own (priests) did not receive Him.

12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in His name,

13. who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD (of Holy Spirit).


~ 11-13. Some of the "preachers" purposely omit verse 12 from declaring it. They are falsely saying that Jesus came to his own but His own did not receive Him, creating false illusion that Gentiles "happily" receive Jesus but all Jews rejected Him, which is completely false statement and perverted meaning. Verses 11-12 obviously related only to Jews and Gentiles have no part in it at all.

The words, "He came to His own" specify that He Himself as the Priest of Most High according to the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110.4) (Hebrew 5.6.10, 6.20, 7.1-17) came to His Own priests who supposed to teach people about Him, recognize His coming, and accept Him as Messiah. But instead, they, "did not receive Him."

In their minority priests and leaders of Israel did not receive Christ, but majority of the people of Israel received Him, and followed Him by thousands, and delighted in His speeches, in His teachings, in His truth, and in His miracles (John 7.31-32), and followed Him by thousands.

And even in their absolute minority, among the leaders and the priests of Israel, some accepted Christ as Messiah and became His disciples. We know at least two of them, one of them Joseph, member of the council (Matthew 27.57-60) (Mark 15.43-46) (Luke 23.50-53), and the other Nicodemus the Pharisee, a ruler of the Jews (John 3.1-21, 19.38-42).

Verse 13 also indicates that verses 11 and 12 relate only to Jews, because it said, "whoever born not of blood" meaning, not related by their genealogy to Abraham (by their physical blood and flesh), but who born from the Holy Spirit of GOD, means "born again." This means that such Jews born again not as a child of physical parent, but born as a child of GOD, from the Holy Spirit of GOD Father, just like Christ was born.

So, it is absolutely clear that all these verses relate only to Jews and have nothing to do with Gentiles. However, have been many Gentiles in Israel included Romans who are also accepted Christ and became His children also.
